NOOB when it comes to the watch game. I've been told to check out the Omega Speedmaster. I can't afford the big boy rolex or AP watches, but love the look of the AP Royal Oak offshore. Any other recommendations in the 2-3k price range?

ForeLeft a little higher than your price range but the Panerai PAM000 is nice as well. You can find them slightly used for $3-4K

You can find a used 3575 (speedmaster) for that range, and it will give you great mileage. Fun to own, can dress up or down, and like with all things, you can really tinker with it in terms of what strap you put on it.

ckay I do like the black bay, the 36 especially. But I’ve already got a dive watch (a seiko skx that I love to bang around) so I’m covered there. Like the vintage stuff which is why the Tudor drew my eyes.

and yes I do have a speedy 145.022. Realized yesterday it has tripled in value since I got it which is pretty cool. Will never sell though, it’s a birth year

This thread has me going back through some old watch photos and I came across this one. This is at The Palm and was the first of two or three times I met @Eddie (how I ultimately found T&C). I think this was late 2016 and was shortly after the ceramic Daytona was released, so the fact that there was one here was a big deal at the time.

Jake love Tyson’s Corner. Traffic is absolutely horrible though and that is coming from a NY’r. My wife’s grandmother lived in Vienna all of her life. She passed last year so I don’t know when I’ll go back down into that area but I always enjoyed my visits down there. A lot of bingo nights with her in Falls Church, Vienna, Alexandria, etc 😂

Loved stopping in MD on the way for some blue crab at Costas Inn.

After a few years of coming up empty-handed at local ADs, I was in NYC on Saturday for a buddy's wedding and my wife encouraged me to stop into Watches of Switzerland, where I walked out with this. Got banged by the NYC tax but love the pickup.

TFixer5 yeah the sales rep didn't even offer after I asked if he'd take a little off the retail price to combat the taxes. I knew it was a big ask given the demand for the watch.
