I took the Autoflex 505x out to the course with the two TSi3 heads that I have. One is an 8° and the other is a 9°. I also brought along a Ventus Blue to compare. The build on the AF is 45.75 at D0.5 and the Ventus is at 45.75 at D3.5.
Inside on TrackMan the 8° was the most ideal with the AF and the 9° with the Ventus. As you know it’s always better to test outside so this would be a good test. Both heads were set at A2.
On the range I started with the AF and each ball was dead straight and long. The Ventus looked to be the same with a touch lower ball flight.
I hit about two drives on each hole using ProV1s. The Ventus didn’t miss a fairway all day. The miss with the AF was left or I would thin it due to the swing weight. I did swap hitting each shaft first off of the tee to prevent any biases. When the AF was hit solid it was long. I hit one drive on a par 4 that plays 378 yards and I was 30 yards from the pin. Granted this was down wind but it was still very impressive. I was still missing the AF left so I switched heads and went with the 9° set to C1 to try and minimize the left miss. This seemed to be what I needed as I then hit every fairway. The AF was about 15 yards longer than the Ventus. I feel like the ball flight might be a touch high so I will try the 8° at C1 later this week.
The pic with the white line shows a 17 yard gap between the Ventus and AF
That’s all I have for now but I will be playing again later this week and can report back
