I don't tinker as much as I think I do, mostly with shafts, but so far I'm happy with every club in the bag. It took a lot of time to decide whether to play the SIM in 9 or 10.5 but settled on 9 with some draw bias added in. Modus 115 shafts. putter: Scotty Cameron custom timeless. Misted chromatic bronze so it's matte at address but shiny everywhere else. 345 headweight with beach and tungsten, 34" Pistoling Circle T with three build up wraps, and some stamps and name🧐 TP5 ball.

Benzo Good to see you here! Yeah, for me wedges it all comes down to what works. Glide 2.0 one of the best wedges for full and 3/4 shots I've ever used, Vokey sand wedges I've always used well, and the hi-toe is a real fun lob wedge to hit a lot of shots with.

A lot to like with your setup. Diamana’s have always worked the best for me in my woods and I’m going to have to sample their newer ones sometime soon. Love the mix of wedges and that Timeless is ridiculous. That Gambler headcover is perfection as well.

So the apex uw continues to impress me with its ability to hit shots from questionable spots.

the sim max your issue 3 wood produced some mixed results, might go back to the 300 mini since the apex uw is so good.

the p770s may have seen their last round, the heads are good but the c taper lites in them feel way too light now, now that my arm is healed and my unloading sequence on the downswing has changed.

question is do I play the black p790s or copper…

Copper was my choice going into this, but here’s the thing, the 19 black iron makes the top line look really thin and the copper topline looks really thick.

so in terms of bag appeal and wear concealment, copper hands down but at address black is much sleeker.

So here is where I’m at.

driver: tsi3 10 degrees, weight heel side, tour ad xc6. I don’t think a driver shaft combo has been in the bag as long as this has been, not the longest but really keeps me in play.

fairway wood: sim max tour head 17 degrees 57 degree lie angle tour ad vr7, hot melted. Spec wise it’s great, and aesthetically I love the sim1 line so I always wanted to keep one club from it. Still learning a lot of new things with changes in my swing so I’m not particularly consistent with it yet, but too early to give up. Literally had two range sessions with it.

utility: apex uw 19, Fuji pro73. 41” d3. Long as hell, would like a little more height but working on having such a dynamic loft at impact, so too early to tinker with shafts on this.

4: u505 Ventus 8hb. I love this shaft.
5-p: copper p790s, c taper lite. man they wear like shit but at least with the brushed finish it is ok.

Wedges still the same.

timeless putter still the same, chalk spider still in rotation for slow greens and waiting for myspidergt.

so my only tinkering will be whether to go back to 300 mini instead of regular 3 wood, and tweaking the apex uw to accommodate that choice.

Eddie Great setup, I love my TSi3 w/ the GD Tour AD IZ...such a good combo for me and probably the longest I've had a driver in my bag. What color scheme did you go with on your my spider GT?

Eddie I put an extra weight in my tsi3 driver , factory weight one spot toe of center and a +8 one spot heel of center (55g shaft cut down 3/4 of an inch give me a good swingweight with the +8) and man does that thing fly a lot more consistent. I was hitting just off the toe, and they were getting great heigh and only moving 3-5 yards of target. You could probably tell from the tee impact i only had 2 bad drives all day.

Iz is a greatly underrated shaft, hunting for one to put in the uw as well.

I love the tsi3 because it’s not overly fade biased. I had a love hate relationship with the SIM driver so I’m a little jaded on trying to make TM drivers work.

in other news, it’s funny how a small change can make a huge difference.

had lead tape on the 3 wood to have it at d4 because I wanted to experiment with heavier swing weight per someone’s suggestion, took the tape off back down to d2 and it’s back to being money. Crazy what a few strips of tape can do to the mind.

I might reduce a little swing weight on the UW as well to see if that does the trick.
