That's a sweet set up! I'd take out the alignment sticks or put a cover on them though. The edges look pretty sharp you really wouldn't want to scratch the crown of your woods.

IToldAlthea the same thing happened to me a few years ago and I ruined a 5 wood that way. That's why I noticed it immediately. Ever since then, I've gone back to use my clubs as alignment aids😂

IToldAlthea I have the ends of mine wrapped in athletic tape. Something to consider.

Question tho, how is all of that handled? Does Titleist send those over? USGA? Do they make rounds, like used at the US AM, then shipped over to the Mid-AM? They just leave them after use? Always been curious of that.

bigjohntripod only speaking from non usga but professional tour (lpga) experience... drop shipped by manufacturer to event and donated by tournament to local first tee program after the event. By the end of the week the balls look like they've been through a war.

Jaybananapantsarthur First tee is a classy move for sure. But they look pretty bad after the tournament??? I guess if you hit a pro v with a wedge, it’ll get pretty ugly. I guess the balls last from Monday-Sunday, they gotta take tons of wedge shots.

I’ve been to one range in my life where they had ProV1’s for practice balls (A&M course) and it was incredible. Just banging ProV’s on the range, what a feeling 😂😂😂😂😂 I may have bagged 1-2 to keep as a souvenir 😬.

bigjohntripod they start losing the cover after about 3 months out. Then they will just Crack. We don't have many people using them around the chipping green like a pro event. Also the pro guys have fresh groves, most members have no groves. It is sweet having the v1 and v1x as our range ball.

bigjohntripod we had ProVs at our club last year. Started seeing a bunch of them in the woods and in the rough on the course so I guess they assumed members were grabbing them to play with. Consequence was we got Peeknuckles this year.

Side note, our ball wash broke for 2 days last year. Don't take a power washer to a tour ball even when it is submerged in water. It strips the paint off so fast

Between all of the short iron and wedge shots, the shag bagging and mechanical range picker, bunker practice and then the ball washing machine they just didn't hold up well.

I forget what club it is. Feel like it was Winged Foot or something up that way. They have logo pro v’s on the range and there’s a stern warning that if you get caught stealing or playing one on the course… you are out.
