NOOB when it comes to the watch game. I've been told to check out the Omega Speedmaster. I can't afford the big boy rolex or AP watches, but love the look of the AP Royal Oak offshore. Any other recommendations in the 2-3k price range?

ForeLeft a little higher than your price range but the Panerai PAM000 is nice as well. You can find them slightly used for $3-4K

You can find a used 3575 (speedmaster) for that range, and it will give you great mileage. Fun to own, can dress up or down, and like with all things, you can really tinker with it in terms of what strap you put on it.
