Last year I thought I had the best driver set up I could ever have with the Callaway Epic Flash Triple Diamond with the Accra TZ6 shaft. At the beginning of this year I tested the TM SIM and I was getting more club head speed for some odd reason. The two clubs both had the same shaft and swingweight. I have had some great driving rounds and sub par rounds and have changed the shaft out numerous times. I know it’s probably the swing but anyone else feel the need to change out a shaft or club head each time they have a bad round? BTW the SIM has a Mitsubishi Diamana ZF shaft now

In the past month I’ve had these three shafts in the SIM and they are all sold and gone. so I’m back to the drawing board. VR shaft performed well but the balance of the shaft always felt a little head heavy and butt stiff, looking for butt soft stiff mid shaft.

I had a short stint with the BF. Really smooth feel and wondered if going softer tip would help turn the ball over with the fade biased sim. It did, but I realized that even though I hit draws on the range, on the course I hit a cut, and the worst thing for a fade is double left, so back to df60.

Currently rocking the Ventus blue 6s tipped 1/2" contemplating the Graphite Design AD XC....

Well, between my various driver heads, I have Ad Iz, ad xc, Ventus blue, Tensei pro orange, Accra tz6. Tensei pro white and HZRDUS smoke. Over last 12 months I have also had Ventus black, accra tz5, t1100 White. Mainly using the ad iz and Ventus blue now.

brushie how did you like the AD XC compared to the Ventus blue?

ForeLeft I'm shaft vain for sure, so the graphics don't do it for me. I guess the slight silver tape towards the tip is cool.

Ok. So I am back on the Diamana ZF wagon. I think this is gonna be a love hate relationship. I have a Ventus that is brand new so I might toy around with that next. I just need to figure how much to tip it.

I've been a driver/shaft month of the club for years. Lately it has been on 3 woods...but of course, just about 3 hours ago I ordered a Maverik with a AD XC shaft. So....I guess my question is, can I be welcomed back into the club?

Some folks are saying that the 6.0 feels like a 6.5, 6.5 feels like a TX, TX feels like a TXX

I feel the 6.5TX feels stiffer than a 6.5. I don’t feel the “this thing is super stiff”. Hell, I can easy swing with the TX and it’s good.

All that said, no, I can’t answer your question comparing the t1100 to the Hulk 😂😂😂😂😂

The Hulk 6.5 plays like an Ozik X. If you have the speed it’s fine. I think too many people bought a 6.5 coming off of softer shafts like from a GD or an MC. You just need to make sure you get the shaft weight right.

I assume the shaft profile of the hulk is similar to the t1100. The 75 gram feels nice to me. I’d prefer being able to feel a heavy shaft over something too light, don’t need to get too quick. I figure the hulk and t1100 are quite similar being the top tier more aggressive swingers shaft. I’m not all too familiar with shaft dynamics these days. Any advice is always helpful!

maxbianchi 125 is a beast SS. You will be fine. There’s just too many 110 guys thinking they can play a Hulk and then realize they can’t when traditionally 110 guys can play just about any modern day X and still retail some feel.

maxbianchi if you can handle the T1100, the Hulk should provide you more feel. Based on everything I’ve read and my own experiences with the Black line, the original Black felt like a board for me in my 2 iron but the Smoke Black feels so much better. I don’t know if there are any gains for you to have with this move but sometimes you have to scratch that itch.

Put the TZ6 in my M3 and it was a beast. Took anything I threw at it with stability. Probably a sad farewell to Tensei White, and the ZF tempted me with its beauty but I have resisted a quarantine purchase!

So the BF is firmly out, when I step on it, I can feel it lag behind.

It's funny, I wasn't quite getting along with the ZF, so on a whim, I ordered an older shaft I enjoyed, the Tour AD TP, and of course the day after I order it, I hit the ZF really well.

So I'm not as excited about the TP anymore, haha. If the TP isn't magic, it will be ZF, and I'm getting one step closer to trying an XC.

The other odd ball shaft I'm trying is the S+ limited stock shaft in X flex. It's actually pretty good, you can tell the exotic tip stiff materials aren't there, but it plays.

Thank God for interchangeable shaft adapters 🤣

Warming up for my round yesterday I finally hit a few balls with my SIM/RIP X combo. I got the headweight down from 204.6 to 200.6 and bang on D3. Visually I think the ball is going faster but won’t know until I can get on a TM. Surprisingly the RIP X had a good feel to it and had some action at the tip but doesn’t go left. Quite a contrasting feeling to my gamer M3 440 on TZ6.

SIM still hasn’t seen action on the course yet but hopefully I can get into the bay in the next couple of weeks. It was 5:30AM so I wasn’t up to speed yet and my only concern right now is seeing how it holds up when I’m really swinging it. The TZ handles everything I throw at it.

And yes, thank God for the tips! And aftermarket weights! Gone are the days of bending heads, hotmelt, and fear of going too hot and ruining a shaft when pulling one.
