Ok. So I am back on the Diamana ZF wagon. I think this is gonna be a love hate relationship.
I have a Ventus that is brand new so I might toy around with that next. I just need to figure how much to tip it.

I've been a driver/shaft month of the club for years. Lately it has been on 3 woods...but of course, just about 3 hours ago I ordered a Maverik with a AD XC shaft. So....I guess my question is, can I be welcomed back into the club?
102-104 SS. So far so good
Not mine, but a buddy of mine is repping an old school Miura Driver and a custom "Baseball Shaft" Accra. Pretty sick I you ask me.
So I think I am done with the light X flex experiment. I think the shaft is too stiff for me as it is either really good or really bad with nothing in between.
I still have the new Ventus that I need to try but I need to figure out how much tipping needs to be done.
I will spend an hour today on the range just hitting drivers to see what I like.

Dude, yesterday was shit in terms of weather.
So here's my strategy. I have a nice day shaft and a bad day shaft.
I'll always have both. BF and DF.
If it's cold, or rainy, I will use the BF, because on days where the weather is not good, I just don't turn as well, so a softer shaft gives me peace of mind, because I know my swing speed drops to the lower end of the spectrum. Also on days where my left arm is sore I will go with this shaft. Especially on rainy and cold days, wearing multiple layers hinders my move through the ball
When the weather is nice, I go DF because I know I can hit the 110 side of my swing speed.
I say keep the ZF and find an-off day shaft.
So I spent 2 hours on the range today and dedicated one full bucket to just drivers. I brought out the Triple Diamond with the Accra TZ6 M4 and the SIM with an Accra TZ5 M4, ZF X stiff and a Tensei white X stiff. I was swinging well today so I knew this would be a great test. Without going into details to bore you the SIM like on the course was either really good or really bad no matter what shaft was in it. The Tensei was about .50in shorter so I wanted to see how that was. Nearly every miss was off the planet right right the SIM. The good shots were smoked.
The Triple Diamond just wanted to go straight no matter what I did with it. The misses were really good as well.
Now I just need to see if this works on the course and I will be set on the driver. (Yeah right)
The triple diamond is so good.
Well...let's see if this combo works...
dphatt used this shaft for about two years 70 g X flex (ss 124), tipped to 43.5. it was incredibly smooth. Very underrated shaft imo.
So I played with the Epic Flash Triple Diamond with the Accra TZ6 today for 9 holes. It looks to have kept its place in the bag. Money match tmr so let’s see how it performs under some pressure.
