Time to bring this back up to the top.
So about a couple weeks ago I was ready to give up on this thing. When I first got it I tried a Sim2 Max 10.5 with lighter weight. It was so wrong for me. Turned it down, nope not good. Put a Sim2 9* in it with lighter weights, better but not great. Threw the stock weight in there and I found something. Grooved it for a while and then weird stuff started happening and I was ready to just blame it on the shaft.
Went to my guy I get lessons from for a mid season clean up. Right away, which I knew but not the severity, I had gotten so steep and so OTT that there was just no way for success. 2 slight tweaks and I got the club back where it need to be on the downswing.
Anyways since doing this, the Autoflex is really showing it’s beauty. If I play a stock little cut, honestly I would say there’s not much added distance. But if I have room to miss on the right I will play a draw and the thing goes forever. On my home course last week I was in a place on the #1 handicap hole I never thought I’d be. Usually I hit a fairway wood on the hole to keep the water out of play but into the wind it’s always driver. I hit it to the end of the water. 40 yards past where I’d usually be.
Yesterday at Congressional I hit a couple that two long time caddies said it was the longest ball they had seen on that hole.
Long story short, stop trying to follow the chart IMO. I am playing a stock Sim2 9*, at 46”, with a mid size grip and will continue to groove this thing.
