Just picked up an XX to pair with my Sim Max 2. Can’t wait to give it a go.
Got a round in today at an old Tillinghast design, Alpine CC. I am really enjoying swinging it. A couple of swings that would have been on another planet stayed in play. I put a big swing on it on 18 and it was super stable. My playing partner was about 10 behind me and usually is so I don’t think I have distance gains yet.

OffTheDole I have a +7 AoA as well. I believe the theory is slightly down results in more spin which can lead to better dispersion while up creates more distance as a result of less spin.

ckay Yep. That's exactly how it plays out for me; I hit right at 0 to slightly negative and play out of the fairway most of the time.
Still, I'd love to get those extra 10 yards. I need them if I'm going to compete in these mid-am events.

This shaft is legit with the right combo. I originally had 505/sim 2 max combo which didn’t fit me. I would occasionally hit a few good shots but the rest was terrible. The new 505xx/epic max ls has been unbelievable. The distance gain and dispersion are significantly better than my previous drivers. Will see how long this honeymoon last, hopefully for a while lol
