Would any of you guys be interested in a little get together for some golf? I was thinking 2-3 groups. Maybe Ferry Point or if one of our members would be able to host that many groups at their course that would be cool as well. It would have to be on a weekday since it would be easier to get on. Please feel free to throw up some ideas. I would like to try and get something done in September or October. @ckay @Jaybananapantsarthur @TFixer5 @mattybeyel Anyone else in that area I am missing?

Let us know, maybe we can get something done through our club for two groups. Not sure if they’d let us do three because would result in unaccompanied guests. Side note, Fix and I aren’t available 9/23.

Can you guys give me some ideas of where it would be possible to play? I think fall golf on the east coast is the best time to play.

dphatt I guess it would be helpful to see how far people are willing to drive and figure out a middle point within that radius. I am in Westchester NY. Willing to drive 120-150 miles. I have never played Ferry Point, waiting for the course to mature and it probably has at this point. Ballyowen is one of the top rated in NJ. Architects is a fun track but I don’t know what the conditions are like lately as it has been a few seasons. I can also inquire with some of the courses about setting up the block of times as a “mini outing” to help move this along if we can create a list of courses. 1- Ferry Point 2- Ballyowen 3- Architects

One thing we might have to be wary of is many courses aerate in the weeks after Labor Day so September has the potential to be a sh!t show for conditions.

dphatt I once went on a trip to the shore one summer and without looking at actual drive times and only mileage said yes to 3 rounds. Asbury Park to New Haven then back, next morning Asbury to Pelham in the city and back in 4pm NYC traffic, and last Asbury to Egg Harbor and back. Well worth the long drives and hikes!! Even better memories because the majority of the guys I played with are on this forum!!!

Sorry late to the party. I can have a few groups. Tend not to care on weekdays about a cap if even 12-16. Outside Atlantic City NJ. Not sure with new Super this year what the aeration schedule is but I’ll check this weekend.

If it happens to be the week of Oct. 19th, that's my fall break and last free week until at least next May (studying for Step 1 of the USMLE - Med school's end-all-be-all test) and am thinking about taking a solo golf road trip. I would 100% drive up to the NE and play my way back down if there's room to join.

Just an update on this. I am still working on logistics. Once a date is selected I will need payment up front to handle costs and such. This is gonna be fun for sure so stay tuned.
