Why is when you get a new club or shaft it always goes through this honeymoon period where it is just plain good? Also why is it when you try other people’s clubs it is always really good and when you buy the exact same thing it’s not the same. After writing this I feel like these are contradicting statements but I think you guys get what I mean.

Part of it for me, I think, is mental. When I grab a club from someone else I tend to focus a little more on mechanics. Sometimes maybe I've told myself, "I can't hit this club as it isn't what I think is ideal for me" or "this has to be better than what I'm getting out of my clubs". That little mental mind game produces a few good shots. The new club arrives and after a few rounds that mental edge erodes and habits return.

ckay I was skeptical of it when it first came out but I got one because of the club ho that I am. I really liked how it felt. It definitely helped me with the shorter putts. I was excited they made the tour version which was slimmer but once I installed that version I didn’t like it as much. I felt like the weight of the original one was better. I have my back up SpiderX with the stock shaft and I can definitely feel like the BGT is more stable, pun not intended.

PureStickGolf I think the weights are close but the balance point on the standard is lower so it will yield a heavier swing weight

@dphatt has always been a great putter but seeing his putting get even better after going to the stability shaft has me convinced that it can be of benefit in the right hands.

Stability shaft is headed to me as we speak! I can feel the flex in my current putter. Anything stiffer is going to feel more solid. Excited to get it

If I hit a buddy's club and it works for me, I work REAL hard at trying to buy THAT club. As in, I try to buy it from my buddy out of his bag on the spot. 🤷‍♂️
