Has anyone ever been to the shop or got a fitting there for a CT?

i will be in Carlsbad for work in a few weeks and a CT has always been on my list but never had the coin to buy one ..now that I’ve made some money I’ve been itching to buy one ..

Hopefully you guys can share some experiences!

ekaj it’s a pretty cool place but don’t get your hopes up too much as sizes are picked slim in the morning by resellers. The fittings are usually booked months out in advance. I do not think they are open yet and only allow window shopping. They have items in the windows with numbers and you write on a ticket what you want

I’ve done the fitting long, long ago. It was about 3 hours long. This was about when the shop opened and I lived in AZ. Call and see if someone cancels? That would be your best bet nowadays, although the sentiment here is shared: corona has probably shut down anything in person. They are only open for window shopping I think.

I went to the Gallery in Feb, right before COVID crap happened. They had a great amount of putters in the back, just had to ask. A friend bought the TourType, but the nice sales guy brought out a bunch of cool Timeless/009s/Super Rats/T22s.

They are doing the window shopping as many has mentioned, so it's a different experience unfortunately.

The first time I went back in 2015 the Gallery was fresh and there were a ton of options and the flipper crowd didn't exist yet. Was able to meet scotty, design a tool box putter with him and get some cool items like the first twisty SSS pivot tool.

I've been back a few more times and things are slim pickings, thank god I am a small. Not always new stuff but still usually something cool to grab.

Fitting is well worth it if they are able to open that back up some cool technology, get to try a bunch of putters and dial in either a new one or the one you bring.
