I just ordered my first one a couple days ago and Nic was great to work with. Took a bit to nail him down and we finalized my design as he sat in an airport at SFO on the way home from a golf trip with the Sugarloaf homies. Top notch service and we did a bunch of different renderings for me which was very very helpful. I went with waxed canvas because like many said, I knew it would eventually lead there so just said f-it I'll get it now. Plus I love the way the grey waxed canvas will patina. Nic actually sent me some small samples of different materials and colors if you wanted me to pass it along to you so you can feel the difference and see how things will patina and age. Just shoot me a note and I can get it in the mail.
I also went with an 8 inch 2 pocket model because like @Jaybananapantsarthur says, I had heard bigger is better than smaller. Plus when I golf I usually bring beer/bourbon, water, maybe a jacket if it is twighlight, and tons of balls cause I suck. So I figured the 2 pocket was the way to go. Nic and I joked that if I couldn't fit everything into a 2 pocket I need to reassess what I'm bringing on the course....which is probably true.
