So historically I've been an amazing wedge player. Like really good. I don't get that much time to practice anymore, and lately inside of 100 yards I flat out stink. I'm not going to use the "Y" word, but it's close. I watched this video today, switched to my old Vokey....and it's like a light went off. We are cured! at least for now...

ForeLeft Its a great Donald ross design that has undergone lots of change in recent years. With the grain it is pretty tough to putt on the greens. Most uphill putts always seem to be into the grain and downhill end up being down grain and unstoppable in some cases. Overall great test of golf. Well, I have to say I blame @maxbianchi on this one. I have been absolutely murdering the ball since switching to an X flex this season. Playing extremely well. Hole 2 tonight, stipe one down the middle... think nothing of it. Hit it to a foot, tap in bird. Let's Go. Hole 3 is a short par 4...just the Sexwood off the tee. Hole 4 is a par 3. Get to hole 5, a short par 5. Take the driver out of the bag and tap it on ground like a normally do...and hear a very weird rattle. I think the epoxy has failed. Face Palm. Pulled out 3 wood and still got home in 2, made bird to go 2 down. Went on to par out and shoot a bogey free 34 (-2) but a club breaking is never fun. Decided to reach out to a pro friend of mine, and he's going to hook me up with PUD. Going to copy @DaHOF a little but with a twist (make my own triple diamond in a way). Mavrik SZ 9º (will likely turn down) Graphite Design AD XC 6x Two 8 gram weights (instead fo the standard 14g and 2g). Stay Tuned...I guess?

So, the Mavrik X AD XC is killing it. Very happy.

I’m facing two conundrums. I need to get some stouter shafts for my irons and fairways, as irons are just s+, and woods are only S. I’m also still battling arm and wrist pain.

I feel I have to keep the wood heads, as I’m very happy with the Ping Fairways and hybrid...
I might put the AD XC in your sexwood to lower the flight. I can hit moon balls with the ventus blue.

I also love my blueprints, but feel I could use some extra forgiveness. Contemplating CB’s for a little assistance.

Depends what CB. I am pretty certain blueprints are more forgiving than just about any true player forged CB out there. If you’re looking for help you will have to keep with a techy cavity like an AP2/T100 IMO.

Not getting to play a ton. Building the house, now teaching my wife to play, and dealing with a 4 year old and 1 year old on the range. It's tough.

Swing has seen better days. I need a range session and a weekend to play 18-36 alone. :/

So this thread is no where near the entertainment of @bigjohntripod, but I felt like him yesterday....

Basically couldn’t make contact. Had a NLU wayward drive logo moment on #2, so far left might need to change my handle to ForeWayWayLeft! Number 3 I laid sod over the ball...with a HYBRID. Hit it maybe 25 yards. Sick double on that hole. Limped in the rest of the 9 holes. Finished with a 39...felt like 59. Thought about selling the sticks it was terrible how bad I hit it on what’s basically a pitch and putt course.

Head out to the range this morning, hit 20-25 balls with the G box....Boom! I’m a different man! Went out today STRIPING IT. The mavrik was hitting bombs. Flagging my irons, and throwing darts with wedges. Nice little 33 on the back 9 this morning which is the way tougher of the 2 nines.

I don’t understand golf guys. How you can go from so bad to so good in less than 24 hours is beyond me!

Yesterday though definitively had me contemplating trading the irons in for a set of P7MC/MB combos...as I could used the help, especially on the off days. Might need to go test those out this fall! I’m intrigued to say the least.

There's your key, I've noticed if I don't get amped up or somewhat fear the layout or difficulty of a golf course, I play like crap. But put me on a tricked out golf course and I will be fully concentrated.

Thinking I need to get refit this winter.

Have a feeling Counter Balanced wood shaft will be be best for me. That's what I've had the most success with, and the AD XC is erratic. When it's on its on...but when it's off it's off.

Thinking Tz6 CB with some fun custom colors. Maybe Tensei orange raw? any other options I should take a look at? Oban Kiyoshi HB was excellent. I'm pissed that broke.

Need something stiffer in irons as well.

Eddie I’m hesitant to go anything GD after this. Only my 2nd ever X flex shaft and it felt like a regular. The AD XC I expected to be like rebar as it was touted as their most Stout and low/low shaft.
