Having just won I went to the range to test my newly purchased SIM and it will go out for the practice round tomorrow for the Mid Atlantic Fourball. Am I crazy? You bet I am.

Specs:
SIM
10.5
Shaft: Diamana ZF 60s
Adapter: Upright Lower
Weight: almost full draw
Length: 45.25

So that adapter setting didn’t work. I went with the one click lower instead.

Pretty good results with it and I should put it on the bag for the event on Wednesday.

I took the p790s with the MMTs back out yesterday and hit them pretty well. It’s still weird to me that they launch lower than the Modus 120s. I didn’t have the over draws with them so they might stay in the bag for bit until the new irons show up.

How’s the SIM working out for you? Played my first round with mine today and it is a rocketship compared to my M3. Also very fade biased which I do like and just need to get confident aiming down the left side of the hole as my miss was always left.

ckay good so far. The misses are in play. I just don’t know if I have gained yards or I am hitting it the same. The courses I have been playing have been pretty wet.

ekaj I hate that miss. It starts like it’s gonna be good and then just ends up in the trash.

I think I am done with the SIM three wood. I am hitting everything solid but this club. All I can do is hit this thing off of the toe. I don’t care what shaft is in it or what adapter setting it is on.

@dphatt let me know when you wanna sell ..never got a long with a 3 wood ...i have a hybrid in the bag instead of 3 wood ...i can’t hit them well for some reason

ekaj I will give it one more run and then if it doesn’t work I will shoot you a DM. It is on a very short leach.

dphatt exactly the same with me and I have no idea why. I play a draw with my 3 wood because of it and a fade with everything else because of the gear effect.

Jokes what adapter setting do you have your at? What shaft?

@dphatt I had the three wood and ended up buying the 5 wood and turning it to lowest loft setting to open the face up. I have the AD DI 7 TX and its really helped with the left miss. The three wood wanted to go left of left.

dphatt Sorry for late response. I have tensei white 80TX and I have sim max actually so non adjustable. I was thinking about getting the SIM to adjust it and see if it would change impact location, I see it probably wouldn't help based on you..

I just spent an hour or so hitting balls on TrackMan. I am gonna give the SIM three wood one more try with the Ventus shaft set to standard.

As for the driver, I think the SIM experiment is over. I was to get rid of the right miss with the 10.5 head but not my spin is too high which I felt the past few rounds.

I am gonna give the Mavrik TD one more try with the AV Raw and if that doesn’t work I will just stick with the Epic Flash TD for the rest of the year.

I took two drivers to the course today. The Epic Flash TD and the Mavrik TD. The Epic Flash is staying in the bag the rest of the year. It was not only straighter but it was a little longer too.

I also spent time on the range with the three wood to see if I could finally dial it in. I was hitting another SIM Max three wood with a Tensei White 70TX and I noticed I was hitting it more in the center compared to my SIM but it was going lower which I assumed it was the shaft. I also noticed the Max looked more upright than mine too so I took out the stock Diamana and went back to the Ventus at upright and one click lower. I striped 20-30 balls in a row with not one on the toe. I hope this is the end to this three wood madness.
