Round 1 was completed today. I was medalist on my course and 6th overall so I get the 7th seed. The defending champ gets the 1st seed. Match play starts tomorrow.



This was the biggest choke fest I have ever done on my life. I will recap this in a few days if I am still alive. I should be on suicide watch the next few days. If anyone cares I was 6up thru 6 and I lost.

    So I will just get the recap over with because I want to get this out of my memory ASAP.

    I go 6up thru 6 has the kid I was playing was nervous or something as he couldn’t find a par. I was -2 thru 6 holes. He then chips in for birdie on 7. I hit it into the water on 8 and now I am 4up. I then bogey the next two from the middle of the fairway with a PW and SW in my hands. What kind of hack shit is that????? He then birdies the next hole and now my lead is down to 2. We both birdie 13 and he birdies 14. I three putt the next two holes and now I am 1 down. I hit a great shot to 17 but the wind took it over the green. We both made par. On the last he hits it to 4-5 feet and I hit my approach to 10 feet and miss the putt. End of match. Some dick on the course screams “unbelievable.” Of Course this was his home course so he had followers. He is a great kid and I wish him the best so there was no ill will towards him. He later came over to apologize about the guy who yelled on 18. I was ready to punch that guy after he yelled that but I knew I had more class than he did so I refrained.

    This one really hurt. I mean the kid birdied 6 of the last 12 holes but I also let him back in. Lesson learned but no golf for the next few days for me. I am gonna get shit faced tonight to celebrate how much I suck at this game.

    dphatt it’s easy to write about the course records, great shots, and W’s. It’s harder to talk about the losses, let alone do a write up about it to share with us. I commend you Don. Hold your head up. We’ve all been there.

      Having just won I went to the range to test my newly purchased SIM and it will go out for the practice round tomorrow for the Mid Atlantic Fourball. Am I crazy? You bet I am.

      So that adapter setting didn’t work. I went with the one click lower instead.

      Pretty good results with it and I should put it on the bag for the event on Wednesday.

        I took the p790s with the MMTs back out yesterday and hit them pretty well. It’s still weird to me that they launch lower than the Modus 120s. I didn’t have the over draws with them so they might stay in the bag for bit until the new irons show up.

        How’s the SIM working out for you? Played my first round with mine today and it is a rocketship compared to my M3. Also very fade biased which I do like and just need to get confident aiming down the left side of the hole as my miss was always left.

          ckay good so far. The misses are in play. I just don’t know if I have gained yards or I am hitting it the same. The courses I have been playing have been pretty wet.
