Bro. Stability Shaft... How is it? Worth the cost? Been looking at those since last year! Would be put on a Spider also.

I am going to order a Spider X with Stability shaft but I need flow neck

bigjohntripod I absolutely love it. I was very skeptical at first but once I put it in I started making more putts. I tried it in a blade and hated it. I also tried the tour version because it looked better but the results were not great. I have a backup SpiderX with the stock shaft and you can definitely feel the weight and stiffness of the stability over the KBS shaft

dphatt The install on a spider is different no? Because of the double bend? I have a backup Spider and a KBS “putter shaft”. If you installed the KBS and chopped it, the Stability shaft would go over it right? And what’s that Stability shaft price? 👀😬

bigjohntripod the single bend or face balanced model uses the .390 diameter. You have to cut the existing shaft and slide the stability shaft over it. The flow neck versions are .370 and come with a tip that replaces the old shaft

How do you like the fujimoto practice iron?

Golfingfanatic I was skeptical about it when I first got it. It is tiny. The first few shots included a few hosel rockets which was discouraging but once I got into a groove it was pretty good. After hitting 30 balls, it makes my current clubs look super easy to hit. I recommend it.

Golfingfanatic I hit it a few weeks ago when playing with @dphatt and it’s a great training club. Only hit one ball and it was better than my iron shot. Beginners luck!

@dphatt Look I to an inversion table. I’ve had progressively worse L4/L5, L5/S1 disc issues for decades. Core exercise, mobility work targeting the hip flexors, psoas, hamstrings and inversion have been my recipe for mostly pain-free days.

I played in a local Fourball event today and I left in a rush. I grabbed the bag that had my clubs and left for the course. When I got there I took my bag out of the trunk and noticed the p790s were still in the bag the day I was checking lofts and lies. Oh well, I guess I was playing the p790s today. It was kind of an unfair comparison since I was off the muscle relaxers but I hit the irons better than I have in a while. I might have to keep them in the bag for the next round to see if they stay. I did miss the soft forged feel of the ZX7s though.

After a horrendous Maryland Open I decided to put the OG P790s in play and they have been really good so far. I am gonna give the ZX7s one more try tmr as I was on those dumb muscle relaxers so it wasn’t fair for them. We will see what I end the year with

That might have been the end of the ZX7s for the year. I drove the well today and should have been under par. The irons were either good or bad. Nothing really in between. Most of the misses were solid but over draws which I don’t like.

dphatt you should go old school and go pure blades. Sometimes it helps me get my ball striking back where I used to have it. I have an old set of Wilson blades I break out to get swing dialed in.

Yesterday I hit 56% of my greens with the ZX7s. Today i hit 84% of my greens with the P790s. I guess it’s the P790s for the rest of year
