Which 7 wood? Looking at tsi2 stealth and 425..

This thread has me contemplating retooling my whole bag next year... thanks a lot @Eddie and @Benzo lol

      Nice lol.

I've been messing with a stealth 7 wood, it's pretty damn foolproof to be honest.

Eddie like I mentioned earlier I don't really know why I went away from the 4w/7w set up. it worked well and 7 woods are almost automatic. which is why I'm thinking about retooling the whole bag.

So I tried a 7 wood, albeit in a non-ideal shaft, but it inspired this idea.

Build a club that would be both a 4 wood to 4 utility iron rapper and 13.5 mini driver to 4 utility iron replacement.

Thinking getting a tsi2 5 wood, cutting it down to 41" (and adding weight to get SW back to normal), and then depending on when I use it, play it at 17.25 when it gaps the mini driver setup, and then jacking up the loft to 19.5 when it gaps the 4 wood. Or get the TSi3 5 wood so I can put the weight in fade when adding loft, and moving to draw when dropping the loft.

It makes sense on paper, but probably will be a complete failure. Stay tuned.

this is why i love the 7w. 220 into a right to left 20 mph wind, played a knockdown draw into this par 5 to 20 feet.

Looked so effortless too, love it.

For me, I did try the crackpot experiment I mentioned two posts above.

          Stealth plus 5 wood.

Cut down to 41.5" (essentially apex UW length)

          Lofted up to 20 degrees.

Basically a 6 wood, if there ever was one.

          And I freaking love it.

Since the plus head is relatively low spin, I can hit some balls that would be long enough for me not to care about having a 4 wood and go mini driver instead, and if I put a cut swing on it, it will spin up and give me a more controllable yardage.

          love the feel/sound as well.

Eddie I’ve been considering doing something like this with my 5 wood, you may have just convinced me. Currently playing at 42.5” but I’ve been toying with the idea of cutting it down to 41.75”
