Quick impressions of the new Titleist irons

I was able to hit the new T100 and T200 iron today. I only hit a few shots so this is based off of maybe 10 shots for each iron. The T100 has the same feel as the old one. It’s not soft but more clicky like the TCB. It looks great at address like the old T100. The T200 was the club I was looking forward to hitting as it would maybe replace my U500. The feel is the same to the U500 and when you mishit it the sound is very loud. The back material on the T200 is extremely cheap. It’s like a thin plastic piece. I will be curious to see how that wears after time. I won’t go into numbers of each club as 10 shots is not a great test.

I actually just put in my order for some T200 today. I'm pretty excited! Wish I could hit the T100s though...they look so nice.

dphatt That is disappointing as they look so nice. Looks like I will be steering towards mizuno even more now.

I had the same thoughts as dphatt I really wanted the T200 to be a nice soft or semi soft feel but forgiving like a 790. They were the total opposite. Very clicky and hard feeling. Couldn't tell where I was hitting the ball on the face. I had high hopes for this especially with the clean topline. The t100's however felt great!

I bought a set of T100s off the rack as my club wouldn't have been able to get a set with my specs until around mid-October. I took them out for a spin on Friday and like them so far. Definitely not keeping the stock AMT whites.

I still can’t get my hands on 4i u505. Anyone hit them yet? Looking for similar feel to u500, aka not the shit can feel that came with the 510.

Eddie Was at PGASS today, they had a bunch of the new Titleist 4-1i’s. Some even had ADDI shafts 🤯🤯🤯🤯 trying to suck me back into a 1i 🤦‍♂️

Didn’t look hard at any clubs, was there for a putter testing idea.

I preordered on 8/2 and after missing the 8/26 release date my set was supposed to ship 9/10. Reached out today and the new ship date is “mid to late October” I’ll be surprised if they see the course in 2021.

For reference my order was:
T200 3 iron “utility build” with Ad Di 105x
T100 4-pw with DG TI X100
all with Tour Velvet Ribbed.

Did anyone else order a set? What’s the status?

I have T-100 4-P, X100, Z grips on the way. Ordered on 8/16 and got this email on 9/7.

ETA: who knows, hopefully soon. 🤣

bjackson2718 the z grips might have boned you. I had tour velvet cords push my new ping wedges back over a week compared to an order at the same time. That is also with me switching grips out too.

I talked to a friend who works at a store and he has had some quotes from Titleist as late as February

I ordered a set of t200...my order is scheduled to come through in December. For me, it is the shafts holding up the order (nippon 950GH)
