I’ve been a prov1 guy for years and it always seemed to fit my game nicely. Then I switched to the prov1X ended up liking the feel and felt like i had more control so I’ve had them as my go to (with a brief experiment with the tp5x) and haven’t looked back.
However.
I played a round earlier this week with a prov1 left DOT…… Long story short i threw my back out right before Father’s Day weekend and ended up laid out on the couch unable to move and watching every shot of the us open. And I say that because i rolled into this solo round with zero expectations and a questionable back. So instead of grabbing a fresh sleeve of ole reliables. I just grabbed into the found balls pocket I haven’t cleaned out in a month and just decided to roll the dice. After a surprising 38 on the front I realized that this prov1 felt different than even regular prov1’s and thought it might be a left dash or something weird. That’s when I noticed the left dot. And after a quick google search I Realized there’s not much info on them and was hoping someone here would know the story, and/or maybe point me in the direction of something that’s similar. Because I. Felt like it spun less off the tee but still checked up on the greens without too much effort. Any info would be appreciated, because as a true gear Heaux. It was clearly the ball that led to this solid stretch
and for those of you wondering at home. Yes. My back got tight on 12 I pumped this ball into the water and had to limp back into the clubhouse with a regular prov1 and no magic left.
