I went out the day I brought my daughter home 😂
To bring some context to that scenario, I had an invite to Sleepy Hollow and have been amped for it for weeks. We had a doc appointment and my wife and I joked in the car that it would be my luck if we had to deliver the baby early and that I would miss Sleepy Hollow. Sure enough the doctor broke her water by accident and we were in delivery Friday and heading into Saturday. The day of the round was our discharge day and I was counting the minutes to time it and see if I can swing it.
My wife gave me the "Do want you want" and we all know what means. However, I took it literally and figured my rebuttal to any future grief would be "You said do what you want." I did have my mother-in-law at the house and her sister to welcome the baby so being out of the house for the 5 hours(I only live 15 minutes from Sleepy) wasn't a big deal at all.
The unfortunate part of all of this is I remember zero about the course other than the punchbowl 16th as I was a new father, zero sleep, and in the back of my mind thinking I need to get this round done so I can go be with my daughter.
