Deserted Island Bag

So I was watching a YouTube video put out by Rick Shields titled Deserted Island bag. So it got me thinking. If you were stranded on a deserted island for the rest of your life and this island had a championship golf course (in pristine condition), what would your “deserted island” golf bag have in it club wise. In his video, some of the rules were you had to have owned them at one point. But I thought it would be cool to pose this scenario to you guys and see what you guys would take. I posted this on my Instagram along with my choices but want to see what you guys would go with.

Mostly nostalgia factors for me. 2000-2005 was when I was really getting into golf and obsessed over gear, but couldn't afford or procure. I could add in more modern things, but I feel like I could honestly shoot the same scores now with this bag vs. my current 😅

I will say that the new tech in irons is very apparent. I went out Friday with evens as 770s and odds as 33s and the level of forgiveness in an old school blade, and a hollow body iron is immense. I still stand by the bag pick as I'm on a deserted island, which my own golf course and presumably an endless supply of Pro Vs to practice and play with.

Interesting Topic. If certain clubs would be in a deserted Island bag then why did you guys "desert" those clubs to begin with? I would simply take the same bag that I have now but I would add a ball retriever so I didn't run out of balls since Amazon probably doesn't deliver to my island. 😆

Putterho Great point, mainly because my main bag gives me much more forgiveness for the limited rounds I have been playing since becoming a dad. Deserted with absolutely nothing to do other than beat balls on the golf course I'll take the bag I like to look at and fondle but rarely play.

Putterho I see what you're saying but I was thinking more about clubs that I know can perform but require ballstriking mastery.

If I had unlimited time and resources my dream would be to turn into that guy who shows up with a bag of blades and a 20+ year old driver and stripes it every time, making the people who clamor for the most recent gear to question everything about their life choices.

OffTheDole LOL I would love to be that guy as well, maybe one day! I got paired up with a guy like that back in the day and it blew my mind considering how I judged him on the first tee by looking at his bag of old sticks.
