No, but I did hit the T100 irons in my fitting. And I loved them. Unfortunately, at that time, the T100S version was still a secret. Coming from AP2s, the T100 felt very familiar and comfortable to me. I had similar numbers, but may have been a slight bit better with the T100 as far as accuracy. However, the added distance I got with the jacked T200 was undeniable. With that extra 5 or 10 yards, combined with my advancing age (63), I decided, for the long term, the T200s might be a better fit, even though I hit the T100 well and liked the feel of them better.
Two months later, Titleist announced the release of the T100S distance iron. I was kinda pissed, frankly. There's no question, had the S version been announced as "coming soon," or even if my Titleist fitter was nice enough to hint about the new distance version of the T100 that was in the pipeline, I would have waited.
Since then, I have heard others on the Team Titleist site say only positive things about the T100S, yet, there is a small minority of T100 players on there (who also came from AP2s, like me), who have commented that they miss their old AP2s.
Since the T100S lofts are similar to the T200 lofts, I may build a combo set with T100S PW, 9i, 8i, T200 7i, 6i, 5i, U510 4i. At least then, in the short irons, I expect I will get that beautiful familiar feel, better accuracy and all the added workability I used to get with my AP2s, while reaping that slight extra forgiveness from the mid-longer irons in the T200s. At address, The T200 and the T100S look the same, though the T200 has an virtually unnoticeable longer blade length.
