Sorry if this has already been posted but I didn’t see any specific threads. In need of a travel bag for my clubs and would love some suggestions.

Club Glove fan here, collegiate model is big enough for my needs including packing in define clothes.

ncc Club Glove "The Last Bag" is one of the most famous ones. If you live anywhere near a PGA Superstore they actually had them on sale from ~$325 down around $170-180 because that particular model is being phased out I think. They are keeping the collegiate, which is a little smaller, and the XL, which is probably too big, so if you can find the original it's an absolute steal.

Club Glove for me. I have had mine for over 10 years and it’s still in great shape. I would suggest to avoid black or blue as those are more common and can easily be mistakenly taken

I have a Titleist one that I won in a pro-am roughly five years ago and it's holding up greatly.

dphatt Remind me to tell you a funny story along these lines. Have the Last Bag from CG. It’s great, but too big. Just got a Collegiate model and will be using for the first time in a couple weeks.

I have a Club Glove for domestic travel and a SKB hard case for international travel. Admittedly, the hard case is a pain and not the right choice if I have to share a car with anyone but the level of protection does mean that the airlines are responsible for damage as opposed to when you use a soft case . The hard case also gives me the ability to bring a carry bag and skip the Stiff Arm.

Question for those who travel with a Club Glove or any other soft bag: do you do anything other than use a Stiff Arm to help protect your cubs? Removing heads from woods, etc.? For example I have a friend who wraps his clubheads with a couple pillows for some extra peace of mind. This year will be the first time I'm flying with clubs so I don't really have any clue what I'm doing.

Heads of woods removed. Irons in bag upside down. Putter in upside down. Top of bag (grips) wrapped in golf towel to keep tight. Clothes packed in top of bag for cushioning.

Pro tip: pack a bunch of underwear in top of bag, TSA will leave ya alone.

I have a cheap Datrek travel bag that I have been using for over a decade. Has good padding. I remove my heads as well and they are in my carryon. Towels wrapped around heads and then shoe bag on top to provide cushion.

Lots of CG lovers but I’m an SKB guy. I can pack quite a bit in there and never have a worry. Only pain is once you get to the rental if there are more than 2 people in one car. But other than that, I love my SKB.

I did have a SKB hard case years ago. I took it on one trip and the hinges busted on the way back. Good thing it didn’t come completely off or else my golf stuff would have been scattered everywhere. That was the last time I ever used a hard case.

I have an SKB too. Too much of a pain to manage with rental cars. Mine has a lot of neat stickers on it and it sits in storage.

Interesting with the SKB lack of love. I’ve probably flown 50 or so times with it and only had to replace one wheel (which was an easy replacement, and I think $15 shipped). But yeah they can be a pain to manage in a rental. I’ve had my fair share of sitting in the back of the car with the case across my lap.

I don't fly with clubs anymore but I always preferred SKB. The rental car is a concern but as big and tall guy I always rent the largest thing they have... truck, suburban, tahoe, etc... so I never had a space issue.

I did have an Ogio bag like the one above (not in that print, mine was bright ass red) and it was great too. Just preferred the sturdiness of the SKB.

Lucked out and found a CG last bag collegiate brand new with tags for 90 bucks on Facebook marketplace. Guy won it and doesn’t play
