New TP5 and TP5X

I'm curious if any of you guys have tried the new balls. I currently play a Tour B XS and before that played a TP5X. Loved the Taylormade on everything except off the wedges. Short game didn't spin for me. Wondering if you guys felt the same and if they possibly changed the short game feel and spin.

javivento8 I play the 2019 TP5X and have the same experience, but I like how it plays with driver and long/mid irons enough that I'm willing to overlook the spin that I wish I had on short irons. I also love how it feels off the putter. I watched the TXG review this morning and am curious to try the new one as they seemed really impressed with the better spin numbers on the TP5X. It sounds like the change to the the TP5X is fairly noticeable, whereas the TP5 is incrementally better. All that being said, I don't strike the ball as consistently as the TXG guys so I'll have to see for myself.

javivento8 so what you’re explaining is exactly what the new ball is designed to fix. If you notice so many of the players on the last generation ball went from the TP5x to the TP5 and it was because they could just not get the X to spin enough. That’s supposedly fixed. I’ll be sticking with my regular TP5.

mljones99 I saw the video but for the short game I'm talking about about little greenside chips. Also the very firm feel of the 2019 was just very bad for me. I like a softer feeling ball but like the profile of one of the firmer balls. If that makes any sense.

Jake I liked it off the driver and long to mid irons also but the greenside spin was just too little for me to still play it. Saw the video and hopefully they fixed it cause if they did I'm leaving the bridgestone behind.

Heard taylormade is having trouble getting the balls out. I don't think we will get our new stock till June.
