FWIW, I have played Vokeys exclusively for over 10 years. I presently have five SM8s (and a bunch of SM7s) on the roster, though I typically play only three at a time. Sometimes when conditions warrant it, I may drop my 4i and play a fourth Vokey. I'm not sure how you will handle short-sided mini-flops and pop-up chips, or drop and stop pitches without a 58 or 60 (or 62).
Opening the face is imperative for me. So, I need wedges that allow me to do so in all conditions. When it's wet/damp more bounce is good. When it's firm and short, less bounce is good. I use a 54.12D and 58.12D under normal conditions, but use a 60.08M (virtually the same grind as the D only with 4* less bounce) in firmer conditions. Or, I may play the 58D AND a 62.08M. I open the 54, 58, 60 and 62 for many types of shots, but use them square when necessary with no problem (though not so much the 62). However, in soft condition, when hitting a full shot with a square face, I want plenty of bounce. I play F grind in my SM8 50, rarely ever needing to open the face. F grind is probably similar to your PW and 9i. I take an average thin-medium thickness divot with my full shot wedges. Like you I am a 5 index (though playing like a 7 this winter due to mostly lack of distance in the 35-45* temps. At least, that's my excuse.)
Don't give up on a LW.
