Moni_SLO That is perfection. Never thought I would like pinstripes on a golf bag until now. Crazy what a classic Pasa logo will do to the mind...

ckay Great to know, I plan to use it when I walk (which is not too often due to some knee issues). Probably do a half bag with it if I do.

Ping bags are the best walking bags in my opinion. They put detail into every single thing and function of the bag

Well I will be honest - There is just no way you want to walk in Singapore for golf. The sun is gonna kill u. It is hot summer all day long. I only walked with it once or twice a year during evening golf. It works great so far. Of course it is much easier to carry say a Mackenzie bag. But i just cant stand my bag getting all the mud and dirt and I still have to clean it once i get home.

I love the Mackenzie bags for their "classy-nest" but i think GFORE Daytona is the best combination till date.

magpies I go to Thailand every year so I know what you mean about the heat. It’s not fun to walk in.

Give the Titleist Linksmaster bag a look too. The top is a little bigger than the GFORE. I have both and I wouldn’t get rid of either one of them.

dphatt I actually got the scotty cameron recent release. But i take the cart most times. So i would prefer a slightly bigger bag.

However as i live at South east asia and travel often to Bangkok, Jakarta, HK, I tend to prefer a lighter bag. Much easier to carry from place to place.

Btw where do u play in Thailand? Thailand is amazing for golf. We should set up a new thread here and have meet up if we are in the area. For me, China mission hill is one of the best golf course, a must go.

magpies I play at so many places in the Bangkok area. I will also go down to Pattaya as well. I have played almost every course in between Bangkok and Pattaya

I have an SL2 coming. The improvements seem legit and the aesthetic is exactly what I'm looking for. I'll report back.

The Vessel Lite also looks interesting. Anyone have experience with it?

KentonQ I would like to know how the SL2 is. I have heard there were 3 different versions of this bag

dphatt oh man...do you know what the differences are?

KentonQ I was trying to find out where I saw that but I can’t find it. I know they had massive issues with the zippers. If I remember correctly the base or handle is different color to tell between versions.

I know there was a release the middle of last year and there seems to have been another release this year. The newer release looks to be called the SL2 "colorblock". If you find any other info, definitely pass it along. I got the white/grey colorway. We'll see how it goes.

If you can find the old Callaway HL1 Sunday bag, you are in for a treat. Not the most stylish, but nothing to gaudy and very functional. Love the little kick stand, has multiple full size pockets and very lightweight. Callaway stopped producing these for the US, but available in Europe (and probably eBay).

                        12 days later

Shapland is pretty tempting at the moment. I like my Jones but a 4 way top is a great feature. Throw in the fact that it is a canvas bag and has some more features. It is encroaching ballistic nylon Mac territory as far as costs go but definitely has more useful features.

Follow up on the SL2, I found it to be much the same as the SL1 and not the big improvement I was looking for. The straps are still no where near the comfort of a Ping or Titleist. While there are "larger" pockets, I did not find that it offered much of an increase in carrying capacity. It is still one of the best looking bags in the market, but it just doesn't it the mark for me.

Took the Jones carry out for a round at Sharp Park (the most beloved poor condition muni in the Bay Area). I did only carry 9 clubs, but it worked out wonderfully. Very light. It was a bit cumbersome at times, since no stand, but otherwise, worth it.

                          TFixer5 your mileage may vary.

I was at Kinloch last week and the caddies were swapping out any larger heavier bags for an SL1 or the Titleist players 4. So they must like them just fine. I've had both the SL1 and SL2 and the compromises just aren't worth it for me over a Ping or Titleist.

Anyone have experience with the Vessel Lite Stand bag? That's the only other bag I'm looking at, but haven't been able to find one to check out in person.

titleistforged where at in the Bay? I just moved from Mountain View down to San Luis Obispo but I'm up there occasionally for work/family shit we should link up!
