Moni_SLO That is awesome!
ckay I didn’t want to steal @Benzo thunder when we roll into a locker room together. He’s already got the camo SC duffle. A good friend would probably just give it to me as I have more camo at this point.
I’ve had the SunMountian 2.5 and hated it. It was super fragile and ripped very easily and I’m not hard on my bags. Maybe it was a bad bag? I’ve had this Hoofer for about a year and love it. Bag weight isn’t much of a worry because I usually pack in 3-4 waters. I just embrace the suck. I walk now, started last year in March and love it. Needed to get healthier and stretch the legs. Now I feel weird if I ride in a cart.
🤔 I currently have a Sun Mountain 2.5+ and kinda hate it, not sure why. Maybe it's the color I chose (black and yellow for my ol' Pittsburgh days), and the shape?
Does anyone know if the Linksoul bags are any good? They do look kinda heavy from a quick glance at the spec sheet.
I took out the Jones bag yesterday for 18 holes. I think the days of single strapping for me are done. I felt really tired and sore going up 18. I missed the double strap for sure. It also might be because it was my 3rd round in 3 days.
dphatt I find I'm okay up to about 9 clubs. If I load more than that in my Mackenzie I find myself rotating between shoulders etc because it gets uncomfortable. Love the simplicity but not always practical if I need to carry a full set (which I usually don't).
Jaybananapantsarthur The problem I have with that is I never play nine holes and I’m always playing a full bag. Maybe I need to start playing more casual rounds.
dphatt I think I've been doing this wrong....is there a such thing as a non-casual round of golf? My only non-casual rounds of golf are watching your IG content and how good you are 🤣
Yup. When I'm full bag I move over too stand bag. Just gets to be too much with the weight, club tangles etc. Even last night, 9 holes, I had 11 clubs and was irritated by it after 5 holes 😄
Jaybananapantsarthur the things we do to make our golf stuff look good 😂
Moni_SLO 😂
I had an SL1 and it didn't last two rounds. Great aesthetics, but that's about it. Terrible strap and short on storage for this type of bag. I'm back to my Ping for now. The SL2 interests me though...
KentonQ Terrible strap and short on storage for this type of bag.
The strap is what really got me about the SL1, I mean, what were they thinking when they put something as pliable as a truck tire on as a strap? Everyone told me it would break in, but it never did for me, and subsequently, that bag was gone.
KentonQ the SL1 has becoming my shit weather bag now. It’s kinda useless.
I don't carry a bag anymore due to neck and shoulder injuries, so in my case the best bag is the Titleist Sta-Dry with the 4-way divider on a push cart.
It's waterproof, fits on the cart nicely, and has good enough storage to carry all the extras.
OffTheDole I'm going to put my hoofer on my Clicgear 3.5+ for my trip upcoming as well... The Mackenzie doesn't sit well on a cart and I'm not always about walking, especially 72 holes in 48 hours.
dphatt yup, water/weather resistance is one of it's only redeeming qualities.
ForeLeft you know how to tighten the straps on the 3.5+? My hoofer keeps falling off!
wbarber1 Yes! This video shows it better than I can explain it.
ForeLeft thank you!
GFore daytona. One of the classiest bag ever.
magpies I love the GFORE Daytona bag but do you like to walk with it? I want to try and get the Vessel double strap and put that on.
