  • I get the use of Bots for release day but Bots for Tee Times?

I just got a random call from a couple buddies on the left coast. I realize that the pandemic has increased the amount of golf being played nationwide due to many reasons such as the need for fresh air, physical activity or just more time in the day from corporate america working from home 3 days a week. What insane is that I heard people are using bots to capture tee times at public muni's in California due to the demand to get out. That blows my mind but its nice to see the uptick in the golf industry from rounds played to OEM's not having any surplus of new equipment. Here is to 2021 a new year!

DaHOF Ironically it was the two knuckleheads you just played with who were betting how many rings it would take for me to pick up or send them straight to voicemail. One ring ......

That is how it was here in the NY/NJ area. I felt like I was waiting for a Bethpage time. As soon as they went live at the local and not so local daily fee courses, but the time I got through it was a 4:30 tee time.

Sooooo are people doing this to resell the Tee Times to others or are they just securing tee times for personal play?

Putterho Great question, back in the day before the 2002 US Open, Black times were sold all of the time. They quickly kaboshed that with wrist bands.

They do that in Houston at Memo. Lame ass course.

Putterho as a left coaster, this has been a huge problem. it is near impossible to book tee times these days. we would stay up till 12am, refresh the tee times, and they would disappear immediately. really aasdlkjfasdjlkfas dumb.

Not just a mini thing. We were having this problem at TPC Sugarloaf. Caught the guy/guys and had to put a Bot Blocker on the tee time app. It seemed to fix the problem.

agadawg1717 that is just awesome. I am the lucky one. We have one of the top tracks in the state. The most we did in a day last year was like 105.
