dphatt It'll still make it in the rotation! It's holding another set in the golf room/gym at the moment

Thank you all! I'm almost permanently playing a half set as my scoring is in-line, if not better, when I'm playing less clubs. It's quite an interesting phenomenon and hope it inspires others to give it a shot. The gapping for my clubs more or less comes out to standard 3/5/7/9 irons plus a gap wedge and a sand wedge. I've found that when I need that 6 iron distance I'll simply hit a choked down 5 (26 degree) if I'm into the wind, or a big 7 (34 degree) if I have a helping wind

FlatlayGolf a half set or minimalist bag has been on my mind for a while. Think I'm going to try it on my next round... similar set up to yours.

mljones99 Give it a go! My first intro to the half set life started when I lived in TX and wanted to walk, but it was so damn hot so I ditched my evens for the day and I ended up scoring about my handicap, next weekend I ditched the odds and same thing! It's worth a shot and now I find myself getting more creative on shot shaping (when necessary) to hit knock-downs, butter cuts, etc. to fill in the bigger gaps

FlatlayGolf I love everything about it on paper, I just need to actually try it in the real world! I've got some passes that I need to use in the Pinehurst area before too long so that will be a good test.
