Calling the Scotty Experts!

So I am looking to purchase a a Scotty for myself this holiday season. My question to some of the experts on here I am wanting to keep it under $1,500 can I find a good gamer Circle T for that, it doesn’t have to be a brand new mint one since it will be games. If so anyone know where I should be looking, eBay seems all over the place and WRX is hit or miss.

tinkerer you picked a bad time to be looking for CT Camerons. The prices right now are insanely high. Before you could get a decent gamer for $1500 but now they have gone up to $2000-2500. Which model are you looking for?

For $1,500 you’re limiting yourself to the least desirable models. I do like the “Tour” engraved ones of the early 2000s. They aren’t fancy by any stretch but if you like the old school designs, they’re pretty underrated if you can find them. If you’re looking for something more modern and/or handstamped I would wait and save up another $2k.

This is my JLM but they made a bunch of Newport and Newport IIs.

At that price range you are basically buying an OTR putter with CT logos. Not a bad thing and if that’s what you are looking for then go for it!

I would tell you from experience I would more so figure out what exactly you want and wait until the price isn’t your starting point for the search. Going the way of this is what I’ll pay, what’s available, will lead you into a spiral that may never end 😂

I agree with the a lot of the sentiments above. At the end of the day if I have $1500 to spend I would:

Figure out exactly what works in a putter
Figure out what I want that putter to have from an aesthetics stand point
Research past and current prices/valuations for that putter
Wait until I find the right putter and save whatever it takes as well as selling off anything that won't be used

Me personally if $1500 is the #. I would have something custom made from Byron Morgan or Lamon Mann if I know what I want and $1500 is the end #. There is a chance you could have 1 of each from those guys and bounce back and forth.

This one needs quite a bit of care but this is a nice old school Tour Cameron. If you're looking for newer and more unique take a look at Olson also. His standard putters are less than $1K and anything with some artistic flair is around $1,500.

That Cameron on eBay just sold for $975. That was a good buy, a little steel wool and some oil would knock alot of that scaly stuff off.
