My bag doesn’t change too often, nor do I have multiple bags but as I say that I do have a new set of irons coming in the next few weeks. Only thing I haven’t loved are my SM7s but it is probably more me than the clubs. I am also in the process of putting together a retro bag that would reflect what my bag would have looked like. I would have loved to have kept my MP14s from those days or my Apex Grinds but I always moved on and sold the stuff. The only thing I do have left is a Newport TeI3 that Kevin Colbert plated in the 90s for me. It wasn’t like these days where you find somebody online. He had a small advertisement in the back of a golf magazine and basically I had to go to the PO to get a money order and hope I got my putter back a few months later. Next time I’m at my parents house I’ll pull it off of the rack. Fall/Winter setup

Took this guy to the range tonight. Haven’t swung a club in a month or so. No data but I loved what I saw. Hit the 975D a fair bit as well. The overall performance jump between that and the R5 is shocking. Between the R5 and SIM2 Max, not very apparent by eyeball. I’m sure LM data will prove otherwise but man the R5 certainly seems to hold its own.

titleistforged The chase is fun. Be patient and get the best one you can find. I think you’ll find the performance to be acceptable in today’s game. To me the 975 isn’t relevant any longer but the R5 is which in turn should make the 580 as well.

ckay I mean on center hits there should be no performance difference if you have correct fit to keep spin down.

ckay Yeah, I re-familiarized myself with a 975J a few years ago as nostalgia, but the head was a bit too small, which wasn't very confidence-inspiring. On center hits, it did go, but mishits were punishing. I'd imagine on center hits, I can prob smash the 580 pretty decently, perhaps even more so with a good shaft.
