As I lay here trying to sleep it has come time to change my pillows. Are there really some advantages to some of these pillows I hear about? I do not like something too hard.

I’m sure they do. My wife buys a new pillow every so often. Never knew pillows could cost so much. I would hit up a MattressFirm and give them a demo. Make sure you have a couple of hours to test them out.

One last thing to consider is whether you sleep on your back or side. I’m a side sleeper so I prefer lower profile pillows to keep my neck level. My wife sleeps on her back so a thicker pillow is what she prefers.

If you can definitely stop by sleep number, they have all kinds of pillows and definitely makes a big difference. My wife and I each got different pillows that caters to our comfort level and support. I ended up with a VARIACOOL™ PILLOW by sleep number. Crazy to think pillows can be pricey but to get a good nights rest is worth the admission.

2nd the Sleep Number recommendation. We have the matress and pillows. I love both, but If given the choice, I’d keep the pillows over the mattress.

We recently got a new mattress and pillows from Casper. We got the memory foam and regular down pillows and I like them a lot. But as others have said, it definitely depends on how you sleep and your preference for soft vs firm.

I fall asleep within a minute of putting my head down regardless of with a pillow or on a pile of rocks. Saves me lots of money.

OMG. The sleep number pillows are no joke expensive.

Wait a minute Don.

$100+ headcovers are an easy purchase but a pillow which is way bigger and you will use every night is a hard purchase?

My priorities are no where near where they should be 🤪

dphatt Ha! When we bought our new mattress a couple of years ago, I was like "How much????" And then I look back and it is worth every penny.

I am happy with my pair of Tempur-Pedic Cloud pillows. I've read great things about Buckwheat pillows - those are probably what I will try the next time I upgrade.

Talking about pillows...if you talk beds, I wholeheartedly recommend Tempur-Pedic beds. Bought my first one about 12 years ago and I will NEVER own a different brand of bed. It's in all of my guest bedrooms as well as my master.

Now, as to pillows, I do have Tempur-Pedic pillows and they are very solid. However, I don't try enough to really recommend one over the other.

I love this topic as I am still searching for the perfect pillow. The expensive "white down" pillows for $250 go flat after about 6-8 months - I ordered some pillows from Parachute and they were awful too. Parachute down alternatives were around $80-100 I believe. Ended up grabbing a few from Costco (2 for $50) but still searching for a nice firm down pillow that lasts and isn't $200+. Maybe I should try these Casper pillows?
