Golf Courses During COVID - What are you seeing?

No judgment because I'm here to hit balls as well but I'm seeing people act like COVID-19 does not exist.

What are you seeing at your ranges and courses?

My club opens today. We have VERY strict guidelines in place for everything. You cannot even step on the property without a tee time, no more than 30 minutes beforehand. Our range is limited to every other stall and for 15-20 minutes tops prior to your tee time. I'm playing Sunday, so will report back how it looks overall. I'm just happy to be able to have an opportunity to swing a club again!

With that said, the picture you just posted blows my mind. There is ZERO social distancing happening right there.

My course has been pretty busy, but most people are doing the right things with 1 person per cart or walking, no rakes, leave flags alone, etc. I have been playing a lot and walking, I've found that golf is very low risk, especially with the way the virus transmits. Very close to impossible to get it out there unless you aren't following the guidelines.

I thought this article hit most of the nails on the head, it's been a couple months so reality can set back in a bit.

Both of my clubs have been slammed with member and guest play. But they have done a great job and closing everything else but the golf. Brought on extra carts. Sanitizer everywhere. Social distancing has been the only part that seems to be hard to do. The after the round bet settling has been in the parking lots and they have setup an out side bar to serve drinks. Overall they’ve done a great job. Some people just don’t get it. But that goes back to the age old you can fix stupid!

My club is 2somes 16m apart. It’s brutal and you never see a soul out there.

However thankful I’m golfing!

I haven't seen a course since March 18th. The amount of school work my kids have online and my wife working mandatory 6 day work weeks has me counting the last 15 days of school down for summer.

That picture blows my mind. Courses just opened this week in WA. Played early AM muni rounds on Wed and Fri. Both days the courses were packed after me, but people seemed to be doing the right thing. I'm just nervous that some picture like yours will be featured in a newspaper and this will be taken away from us.

Reopened last weekend. 16 minute tee times, twosomes unless your group is four family members. One to a cart unless family members. Arrive no earlier than 20 mins before tee time, stay in car until it roughly your tee time. Mask required until you are off first tee and coming off 18 green until you are back in car. No clubhouse, no locker room or club storage. No range, no putting green.

We walk/carry and my regular group is a two anyway so no issues. Was great to get out.

Fix and I played at 8:30a last Saturday and we got done at 12p. Sunday we were 8:18a and done at 11:30a. Not too horrible.

Maryland courses just opened on Friday... courses each have differing local protocols, but social distancing and sanitization is the focus at all. My home track is no range, limit of 4 on putting green, 20 min tee time gaps, 20 min arrival before tee time, club house/pro shop closed to public, 1 per cart, foam rollers, no rakes etc. just like everywhere to avoid group touch of surfaces. This will take some getting used to but good to "officially" be able to play
