Companies and their Geographical Locations

Do you guys support certain companies based on their specific geographical locations or what brands you roll with? This topic was brought up with a buddy earlier today and it never really dawned on me since my choices stem from social media if I'm being honest. He basically was a North Carolina guy and said he chooses to use Stitch bags and sport Peter Millar for their home locations alone. It makes sense when certain clubs purchase from brands that they may have grown with. Is it just a vibe in style for certain areas? It just never crossed my mind to that extent.

We don't really have anything in MN...so I would say kind of same as you. It's based off social media and customer service. I like to support the "small shops" and I stick with the ones who put out good gear and have a reputation for great customer service.

I will always give preference to Texas and North Carolina companies when I can but it isn't a deal breaker.

I thought I was missing something when we chatted about golf companies and immediately I thought of my Cali brands, Seamus/Pacific Northwest, etc but I've never made a purchase because someone made something in my own backyard.

I’ve got a great example here.

Yeti - Austin Born
Rtic - Houston Born

Last year I was going to buy a cooler specifically for brisket resting. Wanted a super insulated cooler. Two brands came to mind, Rtic and Yeti.

Since Rtic was a Houston born company, I said cool let’s grab one of them. I called their factory/storefront and asked if they had this cooler in stock and if I could swing by and grab it if they did have it. Easy request right...

She couldn’t have been more of an asshole. I said cool, thank you for your time. Hung the phone up and ordered a Yeti about 5 mins after that.

Bottom line, if you’re an asshole, I won’t buy anything from you 😂.

Love my Yeti. Works great.

Not really, but I do support some brands because they're MN based. For example, my hometown has a clothing collection through a retailer in Mankato, MN and I support the MN sports teams so I like some of the local boutique brands.
