Jaybananapantsarthur thank you sir!
I'm using a new Woven Jacquard towel by EP Headcovers. Have a couple more on the way too. These things are awesome. Clean up clubs very nice, and don't hold dirt on the club like other waffle towels. I'm thoroughly impressed.
Pro tip- do not use fabric softener on your towels!!
TFixer5 reasoning? Intrigued
TFixer5 Not sure if you were referring to just golf towels but this is true for all towels which I didn't realize until about 4 years ago (I'm almost 36 lol). Absorbency goes way way down.....
I use various ones... I've got towels that I've swiped from various hotels, branded waffle or microfiber towels that my club guy gives me when I order new irons, Players Towels from a few courses, and even yachting towels from Hermes.
dphatt causes lack of water absorbency and softness of fibers which leads to less effective cleaning
Jaybananapantsarthur but it smells so good tho π
dphatt Not even a dryer sheet!!
dphatt Miss the fresh scent of fabric softener and dryer sheets? Then grab an old washcloth, dampen it and add three to five drops of essential oil. Toss the washcloth in the dryer with your towels, and your towels will come out fluffy and smelling great.
TFixer5 the Downey fresh protect works well too and has no softeners
canβt believe weβre talking about golf towels lol

Jaybananapantsarthur I don't want anyone chastised for washing/drying towels incorrectly when they have visitors. π
Moni_SLO all towels!!
I appreciate the knowledge on the fabric softeners and dryer sheets!
Next time I need towels I am definitely putting in a bulk order. Thank you for that link...you cant beat that deal π
TFixer5 you'd a thought I ran off with his wife lol π
I use either a NLU towel or the one from Adidas X Palace collab.
I love that we're getting into the weeds of how to optimally launder golf towels. Haha. This is exactly why I'm a part of this gathering of likeminded golf nerds. π€£
Just to complicate matters a hair more.... another bit of advice I was given was that golf towels should hang to dry after washing. I will say this works a bit in the sense that the fibers are more coarse and clean grooves a little better. But I'm more like 52/48 on this tip.
