What do you guys use? How long do you keep one? i have been using the same SSC towel for over a year now. I keep washing it but one side has a nice brown stain on it. I have 5-6 towels that are just sitting ready to be used but for some reason I just keep using this one. I also like the Winston style towel more because of the size and the teeth on the towel. Also my pet peeve is when someone tries to use the clean white side to clean their club or ball.

I like the waffle weaves personally. Been using one from Palm Golf recently, however have used the TBC and SSC towels as well. I try to match to my bag colors. That said, I just ordered one that is waffle one side and microfiber on the other to match a bag I have coming.

This might sound nerdy but after scratching a few clubs from sandy towels I have a separate hamper to wash golf towels so I rotate through a dozen of them. Now that I can practice 5 days a week it's just easier to start with a freshie and not be the guy with 3 towels clipped to his bag.

I use a gray waffle-type towel from TaylorMade. It is a few years old now so it is nicely broken in and washes easy.

Wait, so you guys have towels that aren't 10+ years old and you clean them regularly so they're not as stiff as a piece of plywood?

I've been into the Winston towels for awhile now having come from waffle weave then to Scotty Cameron now to Winston. I'm pretty obsessive about cleaning club after each shot so my towels gets a significant workout (60x plus) per round 😂. I try to avoid stains setting in by washing after each use and before towel dries post round which helps prevent stains from setting in. I only use half of towel to clean clubs and try to keep it hydrated throughout round. The dry half I'll use to wipe face/hands of sweat. Once every few weeks I'll throw in with whites only on hot wash with some bleach to freshen up.

I’ve been a Players Towel (waffle) for years as they allowed some cool custom ones over the years and have the full towel for logos (cue @Putterho and @Benzo sponsored “athletes” of Super Liquors). Need to do another run as I give as gifts and debating the Winston in black (new color) or looks like Players Towels now have red, blue...etc too. Winston only allows the small bottom line for logo though and no slit for ease of attaching. Leaning Players again.

The crazy thing for me about the “Winston” towels is you can buy the stock towels without any logo for approximately $4 a towel in bulk.

I'm using a new Woven Jacquard towel by EP Headcovers. Have a couple more on the way too. These things are awesome. Clean up clubs very nice, and don't hold dirt on the club like other waffle towels. I'm thoroughly impressed.

TFixer5 Not sure if you were referring to just golf towels but this is true for all towels which I didn't realize until about 4 years ago (I'm almost 36 lol). Absorbency goes way way down.....

I use various ones... I've got towels that I've swiped from various hotels, branded waffle or microfiber towels that my club guy gives me when I order new irons, Players Towels from a few courses, and even yachting towels from Hermes.

dphatt Miss the fresh scent of fabric softener and dryer sheets? Then grab an old washcloth, dampen it and add three to five drops of essential oil. Toss the washcloth in the dryer with your towels, and your towels will come out fluffy and smelling great.

Just to complicate matters a hair more.... another bit of advice I was given was that golf towels should hang to dry after washing. I will say this works a bit in the sense that the fibers are more coarse and clean grooves a little better. But I'm more like 52/48 on this tip.
