PureStickGolf Right on! There's no high end public golf in Birmingham unfortunately, but several courses that are fun and reasonably priced. RTJ has 3 courses here (Oxmoor Valley has 2 and Ross Bridge), Highland Park is a fun course that super short and overpriced because it's 3 minutes from downtown, but the real gem is Farmlinks, which is about a 45 minute drive towards Auburn. If he'll be here for longer than a couple years, I'd join somewhere. Several clubs are relatively reasonable for the quality:cost if you play a lot of golf, just depending on where in Birmingham he lives.
