First time hitting balls since November,
Sim max tour head at 17 degrees and 57 degrees loft is pretty solid.
But man do my iron shafts feel really foreign. I've made some swing changes with a stronger grip and more pronation in the lead arm to reduce tension on my elbow, and the results are really promising, from a speed and pain stand point, also reducing pelvic tilt. But the c taper lite shafts feel really light now. So might have to go to the drawing board on irons, or start with going heavier swing weight.
Apex UW in 19 is solid, but the HZRDUS 70 stock shaft feels way too light.
warm up swing, feels like less effort more body use. Pretty happy for first range session of the year. more body rotation, feels comfortable, backswing is shorter, less unnecessary arm movement. The right shoulder is getting more room to get through the ball and not jam me up, still have a long ways to get to really clearing it well, I can do it fine on 3/4 wedges, just need to practice getting it done with all the clubs, but seeing how little I'll play this year, I'm happy with this.
