Those three diamonds make me nervous. Can a mortal with a moderate swing speed around 92-95 handle a head like this assuming the loft is correct?

Nice review, timely too as I just posted a thread about SIM vs MAVRIK. I just canโ€™t look at a Callaway driver at address. The hosel to face transition is not appealing to me.

In one of our review rounds, we had someone in that swingspeed range hit a 9 degree triple diamond head. That person plays a draw like you do, and it's pretty low spin at that speed. So I would ensure you are playing a shaft that retains spin and you will still see a pretty high jumping but low spinning flight. Also the fact that it's 450cc and not 460cc at address is not noticeable.

I'm a TM fanboy through and through when it comes to drivers, I'll tell you where the Triple Diamond may hit it's stride, it's for the person who fits squarely in between playing the SIM and SIM Max.

For me, the SIM was still flatter and a lot more fade biased, which is my preference. But that also means when I miss a touch left with the SIM it's death. So I'm looking for this club to be that happy medium.

For me, again just me, when I goto SIM Max the spin number jumps up 500rpm which requires me to go back to a stiffer tip shaft, which, with my left side pain, I'd rather not play.

Playing with it today again side by side, will report back more info.

Love the review. Tells me I need to get more serious about my equipment and knowledge.

Here's a sound clip of Mavrik and Epic Flash. You can tell the difference in pitch.

Great review guys! I'm stuck in between the SIM and SIM Max so this may be the ticket. Headed to the Kingdom tomorrow have them take some weight out of the back of the Max and add it to the front with hot melt. But I think I'll be ordering a Triple Mavrik too!

I am still struggling to put this club in the bag. Itโ€™s definitely more draw friendly compared to my Epic Flash TD. I have ordered more weights to change around in the head to see if I can get the right balance but this might be a failed experiment.
