How me (high handicapper) and my buddies (1 high and 2 low handicappers) play is like this:
Pair the high and low players together.
The lowest score on the hole between the pair gets slotted in the first digit, the highest in the second. Say I shoot a 6 and my partner a 4, our score is a 64.
Say on that same hole, the other pair shoots a 5 and 7, they would have a 75 for that hole.
You then take the difference between each hole and put a certain amount for each point. We normally do like 25 cents a hole, so in for that example my pair would be up 11 points * $0.25 = $2.75 for that hole.
In case of a birdie, you flip your digits. So if my partner had shot a 3, our score turns into 36, which is a big money maker.
It's a very fun game that gets everyone involved no matter the skill level. Works best for my 4 some because it keeps the higher and lower hci's competing with each other.
