iennis from what I have gathered. Liv is actually well run just Norman as the face is the dumb move.

I’m honestly surprised. No Bryson. No Adam Scott no kokrak.

rickie I thought was going to be their big surprise name

dbenick3 way too early. If I were Rickie I would take that $100MM payday. Good for DJ if that $125MM rumor is true.

Interesting side note: Martin Kaymer, who is supposed to play next week in London, just withdrew from his home tournament in Germany on the Euro Tour, which is this week. I wonder if he's actually injured, suspended or afraid of the backlash?

Earlier today it was announced that Kevin Na has resigned from the PGA Tour. It wiill be very interesting to see how this continues to play out. Golf is a game of history and as long as majors are not impacted, I'm pro free-market and find it hard to blames guys securing the bag. I think Brandel Chamblee broke down the situation very well.

Wonder what KN got paid, $25MM?

ckay maybe more. Plus the always making the cut is nice.

I don’t blame Na at all for taking the money but I wish he’d own it instead of claiming his decision is about “freedom”.

      geaux

Yeah I hate the language in the statement.

i Just wish someone would come out an say

“if you were me who makes a living playing a sport where something so little as a hand injury or a mental yip can end my career, and was offered xx million dollars upfront to show up for something, would you not go too?”

Eddie exactly. It’s generational wealth. I will become the biggest fan of the first guy who comes out and says “I have the opportunity to set up my grandchildrens’ grandchildren by making the move and that’s not something I can turn down.”

      GMac basically said it: https://www.si.com/golf/news/graeme-mcdowell-explains-his-liv-golf-decision-this-is-a-compelling-opportunity

“It just boils down to the fact that I am a business and I’ve operated all over the world for 20 years. This is a compelling opportunity. It’s a fun format and there are some guarantees there.

“It wasn’t a decision I took very lightly. I realized the consequences could be far ranging. But I felt like it was the right decision for me and my family – to be able to take an opportunity like this and play on something new.

“At the end of the day, it’s another golf tour, which we’ve operated on all over the world for the last 20 years. I feel like I have the right to do that.’’

I keep seeing Rickie's name floating around but he literally just said on the Full Send podcast a few days ago that he wasn't going to leave the PGA tour so not sure what to believe on that....

Moni_SLO probably hasn't signed that guarantee money yet and can't have sponsors backing out an hurting his negotiation

Wowww just saw Dustin Johnson renounced his PGA Tour membership. This snowball is going to be wild. Time for popcorn
