Love it! Shake up the PGA. Only way its attracting my attention these days.

The more golf I get to have on in my office during my day the better, my curiosity on this is what were the long-standing gripes the players had that caused enough of these players to say FU I’m out (aside from big money)

Other thought is it's one thing for the players to make more money, but think about the bigger pay days with fewer days to have to loop for the caddies. Feasibly a half a million dollar pay day for a caddie if their player wins.
bryson apparently confirmed to move over too.

Eddie do you really need a gripe if someone is offering you a guaranteed $10mil just to show up? I wouldn’t even have to give it a second thought.

Eddie no control of NIL type stuff. Phil and tiger had to pay the pga 1 mil a piece to do the match. Also heard a fanstay app, forget what one. Wanted to juice the pot with a 100 to 150 mil in special tourney purses for like 5 events. Pga turned it down without telling the players.

I tried watching some LIV. Rather watch Trent from Barstool try to break 90 to be honest, LOL.

I threw it on second screen while doing some work today. I have to say easy streaming. +no commercials and a f1 style leaderboard. I like that. Team names and logos so bad they’re good. I wish I knew if teams are getting “re drafted” next tournament. Then do the captains stay with their teams? How do i know what my team is gonna be if they keep changing. Or how is that going to work . Also with The rumored names people keep throwing out. These lesser known guys are going to have a tough time making that 48 man cutoff.

shank_guru Barstool Sports has a podcast called foreplaygolf. They also create some YouTube content. Trent is your average golfer and they started a Breaking 90 series. At first it was a Breaking 100 series which he accomplished. As a whole they put out good podcasts and decent golf content.

ckay I don’t know what barstool sports is. If I want to hear about breaking 90, I can sit at my club bar and hear those tales.

The best one liner I came across about this whole thing is screw the ryder cup, once LIV tour has demonstrated some sustainability and success, pga vs liv, ryder cup style. But based on what we see, PGA would never engage something like that.

After watching a little bit of LIV Thurs/Fri, the PGA is clearly the better product.

This might have been best case scenario this weekend for pga tour. Huge showdown between JT Rory and finau. Got spicy at the end for a minute. With a big Rory win and fans going crazy. Although. Jays interview wasn’t strong. And he completely ignored the question of the suspensions and if the players will ever be allowed back. It was a tactful dodge that left the door open. So. We will have an interesting next couple of months.

Jim Nantz’s interview with Jay was insightful, the way Jim kept trying to lead Jay down the terrorism sponsoring line of thinking was annoying and it’s clear it’s personal with Jay.
