Hey guys, looking online at ordering a custom Mac bag. I’m definitely going waxed canvas, 8”, and 1 pocket. Other than that I’m pretty open to suggestions. Anyone here wish they would have done something different when they pulled the trigger? Below are a few of the designs I’ve worked up to this point, let me hear your favorite.

My suggestion would be to really take your time.

browse through their instagram. Both official account as well as MacArtBoard

browse their tagged photos, and the hashtag. Find anything and everything you can get inspiration from and put it into your own.

I was disappointed with my first one as I just rushed into it.

I enjoy my Sugarloaf Social one, but it doesn’t fit much.

Double d-ring if you're a small speaker and range finder case kind of person. Water bottle pocket is a cool add that I've seen recently.

I guess to add to my original post. I walk several rounds per week, however when I do decide to ride will the Mac be usable or is that really asking too much for a this type of bag? I understand it won’t be as practical as say my linksmaster but was hoping to still be able to use it on golf trips that involve riding/walking both. Thanks fellas!

LSkip I’ve put my Sunday on a cart before because I was too lazy to move clubs into another bag. It’s fine.

Wow, everyone nailed the suggestions I was going to give. I love Waxed Canvas over leather and prefer single pocket over double.

Rule #1: Take your time and don't rush the finished project!

I have a waxed canvas with two pockets and I use it a reasonable amount.

A few items:

You can definitely use it on a cart here and there without problems. Obviously the lack of structure will make it a little harder to get clubs in and out, but it isn't that big of a deal. It's no good on a pushcart, however.
I like having two pockets. I keep balls, range finder, water bottle in the top pocket and then anything else in the bottom pocket. If you go one pocket, I think the water bottle sleeve would be good.

Waxed canvas is the way to go especially if you’re going to walk and the your bag on the ground. I can attest since I’m always playing in wet weather here in the PNW. I love the black, white and green one. Love how you did the stripes on your ball pocket. Kind of similar to the way I did mine. Definitely shoot Ian an email at and he can help with some ideas as well. He’s a good dude.
