Anyone hit the PXG Proto?

I’ve seen the TXG video and out of curiosity went to the PXG site and saw the price is reduced to $495.

Was interested to see if anyone here has hit it yet.

I hit it a couple of weeks ago and have one on order.

It hit the first two generations of PXG drivers, but neither were good enough to buy. This one was different.

I struggle with too much spin and this one was good for me. I currently have a Sim Max and the Proto was getting 5-10 additional yards of carry and lower spin. I also found it to be pretty forgiving.

Looking forward to getting it In hand.

jshel please keep us posted on this. I loved how the Gen2 looked and felt but it was really lacking in ballspeed compared to most drivers I tested.

dphatt same results for me, and why I never bought one or fit anyone into them. If you’re going to charge what PXG does for drivers...better be the best dang driver out there, which it wasn’t.

A friend hit went through a fitting recently, hit it half a dozen times and It wasn’t even close to his original Epic.

I've hit it. It's still not in the top 4-5 available drivers out there (IMO). However, I will say this. PXG FINALLY has a driver they can at least say is on par with the other OEMs out there. They always had a bit of a hole in their lineup with their severely lacking driver category. This one at least holds its own.

it was definitely a failed experiment for me.
