Are you guys ok with talking current events here or just keep it golf related?

Was looking at my phone and all the text, group chat conversations I'm having, and a good number of the russia conflict convos I'm having are with golf buddies in addition to past policy related people.

So I ask, are you guys interested in talking about these things? If so, hot take time. If not, do me a favor and just post that you'd rather not see that kind of thing in the Lounge. I'm curious what the sentiment here is.

I think keeping it positive here is the best route, and that usually means keeping politics out of the conversation.

As a person who works in the news (for just 2 more weeks,) I hear enough of it in my ear lol. I would say prob just golf related. Tone is a big thing and I'm sure all of us could BS and have a great time discussing whatever in real life on the golf course, but someone's tone may come off the wrong way and send us down the wrong rabbit hole. That being said, any decision y'all want to make I will still come here and support/chime in.

To be honest I get enough current events at work. I’m here for the golf and good times and seeing cool stuff I didn’t even know I needed. Like those wearable speaker things.

I think it’s overload. With every social media talking about it nonstop. Every news channel. Everything. Just my opinion though. If we keep it confined to a couple threads. I’ll just skip over those threads.
