  • Lasik, Contact Lenses, or Prescription Sunglasses on the course thoughts.

RX sunglasses have been great for me!

Most brands have several tints (like ski goggles) to choose from. I went with the "variable light" lenses rather than the "bright light" from Oakley RX.

They seem to be great at reducing eye strain and glare, without the need to take them off and on if clouds are moving or the shaded parts of the course.

I knew I could count on the guys in the lounge. Getting an updated exam before the plunge will give both transition lenses and RX sunglasses a go. Glad to hear I’m not the only one with dry eyes. I just can’t do the contacts for golf even when using drops.

Putterho unfortunately as a sweater I will always have to do contacts. I’ve considered getting lasik but will hold off for as long as I possibly can since I know it’s not a permanent fix. Would like for it to wear off when I am old enough to use my age as a reason to never walk a golf course 😂😂

My Lasik wore off as well but not to the point where it got back to needing a dog and cane. I did glasses forever for golf and just got tired of them flying off given my 131mph club head speed.

Went and got daily throw away contacts this past summer and couldn't be happier. Only wear them for golf and it's nice being able to wear sunglasses on the course again. Didn't go Rx sunglasses because when I play twilight and have to take them off the last few holes as sun sets I'd be blind.

Putterho just remember you can get RX put in just about anything! Can't be looking like Dylan Frittelli out there 🤣

Top 5 choices I've made in life was getting Lasik. I too have dry eyes most mornings, but a couple quick drops in and I'm fine. @Putterho for a very long time I golfed in Oakley Sunglasses with the special "golf" lenses. It actually got to be second nature and was weird when I eventually stopped wearing them (I can't remember why I did, but I did). I don't know as though I'll ever go back for a round 2 at this point. I figure that once I hit 40 it's been a good decade or more of 20/20 vision, and who knows how good the second go around would be at our age.

I’ve worn contacts for the last 25 years. I’m getting LASIK as soon as possible.

I wear my prescription glasses all the time. They have the lenses that turn into sunglasses. Even with my bifocals, they do the job just fine.

I can’t wear contacts, and am too afraid to get lasik, so regular glasses for me.

like you, I have a very high script so I can’t wear Oakley glasses. I’ve found the Nike sport glasses are a next best option.

SportRX made me both of pairs of regular and sunglasses.

I never did get lasik, and have been a contact wearer for 20+ years. I've pretty much always used sunglasses on the course or pretty much anytime I'm outside now. I guess if I was in your situation, I would go prescription sunglasses for what you're looking for.

bruinmw I don't know how people can not wear sunglasses to protect the eyes. Shit o get migraine from to bright
