Does anyone have any feedback on these TM MG3 wedges? Really love the way they look and am seriously debating on ordering a few for the upcoming season. Any feedback or insight would be appreciated. I have always played Vokeys but just looking to try something different.

I ordered a set about a month and a half ago. I’ve gotten 5 or 6 delay delay emails. Latest one was end of January arrival. I’ve been playing hi toes the past 3 seasons and love them. Was a big Vokey guy before. Give em a run!

If it’s any consolation i had (broke it tonight) the md1’s and really liked them. but i have a problem. Might be the 8 or 9th broken wedge of the season

I haven’t played a mg3 but if it is similar to the mg2s, I can’t recommend them enough. Played the TW grinds all year with no intention to change in 2022.

Eddie If the TW’s came in a 52 I would probably go that route, but will most likely go with the others so I can have 52, 56 & 60.

Here’s my opinion after going through a fitting with them at the Kingdom. If was iffy about them for the first few rounds. But as I’ve gotten used to them I’ve fallen ba j in love with them. They’ll be staying in the bag for awhile. The clips below are posts I made on another site… “know we’ve posted a lot of of pics and notes on all the cool stuff we saw but I wanted to get into the time I get to spend with the MG3’s and a little about how I hope they change my game. I range from a 2-5 handicap depending on time of the year and what kind of tinkering I’m doing. I have played the game for about 25 years. I’ve always had pretty good hands which is a blessing and a curse for a short game. My missed is normally always fat and on the toe. My current wedge setup is below. -Vokey SM8’s 46F Bent to 45. Steel Fiber 110 S straight in. 50/12F w/Modus 125 Wedge Shaft 54/12D bent to 55 w/Modus 125 Wedge Shaft. 60/12 D Modus 125 Wedge I’m a 100% club ho and try just about every wedge that comes out. Over the years I’ve played them all. But I’m the end I go back to Vokey. They’re consistent and I like the more classic look. The MG3’s grabbed my eye as soon as I saw them on the forums for the first time. Then I got to see one in person at PGA SS and was even more intrigued. They just looked so good!!! The shapes were traditional with a incredible lines. I knew right away I wanted to try them. I actually had a fitting scheduled until I got the email that I was selected for this experience. Once I got the email I knew I had to make it happen! After hitting a few balls with my current gamers Greg put the MG3’s in my hand. These wedges are 🔥🔥. My spin was up. The descent angle of the ball was better as well. The ball flight was great. But the thing that impressed me the most was the turf interaction. These wedges glide through the turf and do not dig! The CG and weighting has been moved up and out of the heel which makes them feel much more balanced and stable through the shot. The sound and feel is also much improved over the MG2. I’ve always wanted a wedge with higher bounce that sits flat on ground at address. Greg and his team have made that happen without having to get a custom grind which is $$$ and tough to get your hands on It allowed my to hit a bigger variety of shots especially with my 54. After running them through the gauntlet on the range we went to the short game area. Things got even better down there! We took a few different bounce options and my gamers and dialed things in. The chip shots were drop and stop from a variety of conditions. Again the sole set perfectly behind the ball for my eyes and glided through the turf without digging. Even on Mis hits the ball was still close to the intended landing area. I was very impressed. At that point I was pretty much sold but wanted to try it in the bunkers. Took the 60 into the bunkers and started with short shots to a tucked pin. I was able to get the ball up quick over about a 4ft lip and onto the green. When the balls hit the green they had a controlled spin and very little roll out past my target. After the bunker work I knew I wanted them no matter the price! The combo i went with is below. 46 bent to 45 with steel fiber 110 CW 50/8, 54/13, 60/12 bounce with Modus 125 Wedge Went 1* Flat and 1/4” long. Can’t wait to get them in hand and will post more. I just got a set of the TW MG3s and played a round. Feel is great (I'm using a Srixon XV), and I absolutely love how it sets up at address. I've been using a 60 with too little bounce recently, and the TW doesn't really dig at all. Aiming to have these be my 2022 wedges, and so far it's staying in the bag.

I am really interested in switching out of my Vokey set, my only concern is the Lob wedge.

I play a 58/8 M grind currently, do you feel you can open up a 58 or 60 with the grind they offer?

pfdz I haven't seen a tm wedge that has looked bad opening it.

The TW at 60 is at 11 degrees of bounce you could bend it strong to get you closer to that m grind spec.

I’ve never played a wedge long enough to rust out the sole of a wedge 🤣 maybe I should get a mg3 👀

Eddie one thing I learned from the wedge designer that was at the fitting and through trying the TW wedges was that the bounce stamped on the TW wedges is exaggerated by about 4-5*. Without going down the effective bounce rabbit hole the TW wedge played with much less bounce that the High Bounce 60 and even Medium bounce 60. The designer told be that they needed to change the way those wedges are stamped because they do not play with nearly the bounce they are stamped at.

I just switched to 56/60 TW grinds, bent to 55/59. I'm coming from SM7 S grind and M grinds and although it took a little bit of time to get used to, I'm really enjoying them. Compared to the Vokey's, they seem more forgiving as they're a larger head and feel softer, almost sounding like a forged wedge. The TW grinds are really easy to hit out of the bunker. I've not tried the regular MG3s, but I'd recommend the TW grinds just for this reason. Off tight lies, the nice deep click sounds make it feel like the wedge just slides under the ball the turf (maybe a placebo effect of the milled grinds), and the tour issue s400s are a nice plus.

Eddie the forgiveness is there more than ever. I didn’t really notice a forgiveness in wedges until the SM8’s came out. They were incredibly well balanced and forgiving. The MG3 is a tad more forgiving than the SM8. As for the bounce…. I dig as well and would have preferred to have about 12* of bounce on my 50. The problem was the 50/8 highest bounce they make in a 50. So I decided to give it a shot. It took some time to get used to it but I haven’t had any issues with digging at all.
