So…… I fucked up. My OG sim head has been rattling a little bit and realized the rear weight was loose. So I went to tighten it and I did not realize my Incredible Hulk strength and I sheared off the screw holding the weight in place.

Does anyone have any good ideas to fix this or make it playable until the new 2022 drivers come out? I’m planning on getting fit into one of those and be good hopefully around March Normally I’d be packed in for the season in colorado. But since moving. I still have plenty of season left. I’d prefer not to play my 3 wood off the tee…….

any suggestions or input would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe just epoxy the weight to the back of the head. Should work.

Lead tape moved all over. Mess with cg. The proper way would be drill a hole in the screw and there is a bit to pull it out.

dbenick3 I would be concerned about drilling into that material and compromising the head integrity, or otherwise agree on that front.

Ya it is a tough one. Good sharp bit. Epoxy a smaller screw then back the other one out. To tell you the truth I hate working with some of the new clubs. They all remind of the old ft 5 that you could unbound the pieces

I think you’d have to heat it too much to get the broken screw up. You start heating that carbon too much and you won’t like what it looks like. Just epoxy the weight onto the head and it’s your back up for life. No worries.

Worth a try.....

Super glue. Baking soda.

Put small drop(s) of crazy glue on broken screw and immediately sprinkle on baking soda. Allow to dry. Repeat a handful of times until you build up enough of a nub to grip with pliers.

Your only option is to drill it out or using an extractor bit. There’s loctite on that screw.

Thanks guys. I put some epoxy and let it sit all day. I’m going to try it out tomorrow and let y’all know. It feels rock solid now.
