I was able to hit the new P790 iron for a bit tonight so I can give a small review.

I am not a fan of the satin look. The satin sole reminds me of the speedblade. I am not sure why but the head does look bigger than the previous versions. On to the performance.

The feel is the same as the previous models. The ball speed and launch are definitely higher. The ball speed is what really shocked me. These things go really far. Maybe too far. I even bent the club a few degrees weak and it was still giving me high ball speeds.

dbenick3 it’s looks like the 2019 P790 offset. I did bend it weaker which took the offset out and it looked a lot better

What are your opinions on this club vs the T200?

epyon it’s funny you asked because I hit that club a few times after hitting the P790. The look of the T200 is more of a players club. It has a smaller looking head with a thinner topline. The ballspeed on the P790 were a lot faster than the T200 at the same lofts.

Wow. That’s a very impressive ball speed for a 6i.
I don’t mind the look. Can’t wait to test them out.

@dphatt Impressive numbers because at that height you could definitely still stop it, even with just 4720 rpm of spin. It ain't backing up though 🤣

What ball were you using in the test?

OffTheDole pro v1x. I have always been a low spin player so I need the height to stop it. If I can’t get to 95-100ft then usually thats not good.

dphatt Appreciate the response! I'm excited for my T200 order, but I hope I can get over the polymer back plate. Hope doesn't wear and tear easily.
