What’s your biggest pet peeve when selling online?

I’m so over moving items online. I’m pretty sure there are some tax changes coming in the near future with paypal so I’m trying to move what I am not using. But these people are driving me crazy. Why do people offer $20 under asking? What’s the point? My biggest thing is when people act like they are doing you a favor by making you an offer on something.

I guess it is entertainment in the end 😂😂

My pet peeve and maybe the dumbest thing of all, I just flat out HATE shipping. I don’t enjoy boxing shit up, I don’t enjoy the car ride to the PO, I don’t enjoy the interaction “fragile or not, is this a battery”, I don’t enjoy being fooked by usps, I don’t enjoy any of that shit.

bigjohntripod used to hate all of that as well. Start printing your labels at home and just drop
the boxes off or schedule a pickup. Makes its 10000000X better.

Also I should have said I try to price anything I sell at fair pricing. 95% of the time it’s just what I have in it. So when someone wants to “win” by offering my $20 less, I lose respect immediately for that person. My years of haggling are just over.

All shipping, regardless of carrier, is printed online. I put the package on the counter and say have a nice day. No waiting in line, no silly questions. The rest of the selling process sucks.

I have been burned by this though. Now I always wait and make sure USPS scans in the package. That way I know there is some record of them receiving the item.

So side note, we have a label printer and a printer. Both don’t work. Ever. 😂😂😂😂. I’m not sure they ever worked. Technology 😂😂😂🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

ckay I think im starting to think the other way. For whatever reason I have no issue ignoring messages on eBay.

I also traded in $900 worth of stuff to PGA Value Guide or whatever it is that pays cash a few weeks
ago. Still haven’t received my check but I didn’t have to deal with people so it was kind of nice.

If you are going to make an offer on something, say that first before asking someone to take the time out of their day to show you something. I’ve had people do this to me on brand new items.

KentonQ yep. All of them. It’s worth it. Inside the post office I’ve had the same two people taking my packages forever. I skip every line and they take my stuff with a smile.

I put mine out for my USPS delivery guy to take. I probably ship 2-3 times a week and I probably get packages almost every day. Needless to say, every holiday season the man gets a card with a very nice "thank you" gift in it. I know who keeps my side enterprise running in tip top shape! 😆

To @Noyes26 point of haggling, some try to spin it by saying “I only have $x in my PayPal”. That’s great, it’s tied to an acct, card, bank, so the price is still Z.

People flipping what you just sold and putting a great narrative. “Putter only rolled on carpet 3 times.” Really?? Because I used it for 15 rounds OUTSIDE and was forthcoming 3 weeks ago when listed it.

People that sell something for a major profit and ask that you add 3.5% for G&S. Just increase your price to include it if you need that extra 3.5
